We are looking for a Mobile Gardener to join our in-house Estate Services team, to provide a gardening and handyperson service for all estates and properties managed by Orwell in and around East Anglia.
Key Responsibilities:
Our Mobile Gardeners key responsibilities include:
- To cut and trim the communal grassed areas, ensuring edges are neat and tidy. To weed and trim and prune the communal planted areas.
- To have an extensive knowledge of all sites and to assist Mobile Gardening Team Leader in the planning of staff and gardening rotas. To ensure that all required paperwork and admin tasks are completed.
- To carry out landscaping improvements and planting of communal spaces in consultation with Head of Estate Services and Mobile Gardening and Hard Landscaping Team Leader.
- To report any damage to the estate to the Mobile Gardening and Hard Landscaping Team Leader and Customer Service as soon as possible. To carry out minor repairs as required.
- To act as Orwell's representative, ensuring the best possible relationship with customers and any representative bodies.
- To undertake additional responsibilities that may arise which are consistent with the nature and level of this position
About you:
Our ideal Mobile Gardener will have…
- A minimum of 4 years industry experience
- The ability to work within a dispersed team.
- A good working knowledge of risk assessments.
- Knowledge on garden machinery and hand and power tool maintenance.
- In depth plant and pruning knowledge.
Due to the nature of this role a full UK Driving Licence is required.

Person Specification…
- National Certificate or above in Horticulture or equivalent is desirable.
- PA1 and PA6 is desirable.
- 4 GCSE's (or equivalent) at grade C/4 or above including Maths and English Language.
