Responsibilities :
• Takes up technical tasks and support day to day BAU tasks/Incidents/RFC’s.
• Supports his/her team during diagnosis when technical issues rise in his/her scope of expertise.
• Proposes service improvements for all Oracle/EBS services supported throughout the organization.
• Provides technical knowledge, supports services both proactively and reactively to maintain the availability and reliability of database system infrastructure in accordance to the SLA.
• Works in line with policies based on company best practices
• Actively engages during any high severity issue and drives for issue resolution.
• Reviews technology changes to identify potential risks.
• Supports his/her team during diagnosis when technical issues rise in his/her scope of expertise.
• Engages with technical peer, Development team, Service managers, Architect and project teams on technology roadmap and projects.
• Facilitates transformation projects and suggest future directions for new areas of improvement and enhancements and guarantees the production readiness.
• Drive technically, any complex or high severity incidents that occur within the scope of their role.
• Actively engages to understand new technologies and technology trends and reviews them with a view to incorporate them into Bank operations.
Requirements :
· Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Information/Computer technology preferredMust have strong technical knowledge in MSSQL/MSBI.
· 5yrs (Min) to 8yrs (Max) of relevant experience in MSSQL/MSBI database administration.
· Good knowledge on PowerShell/Python and T-SQL Scripting.
. Preferred someone worked in a SLA driven environment.
· 24x7 Production support including scheduled and emergency night and weekend work.
. Flexible to work in shifts/ weekends/On-Call support
· Follow the IT service management guideline while working with tools like Service Now.
· Exposure to Logical and Physical database design and Implementation.
· SQL Server 2005 and above database administration experience. Experience in MSBI and its related components like SSAS/SSIS/SSRS and Power BI.
· Knowledge and experience in Replication, Log Shipping, Clustering, Always On in SQL 2005 above– configure and basic troubleshooting.
· Log, scheduled Job Management through Control-M or similar products.
· Expertise in handling Database Maintenance related to Index and DBCC.
· Hands on expertise in Performance tuning.
· Exposure to SSIS Packages, SSAS, SSRS and Power BI.
· Application DBA Exposure.
· Development support/ debugging procedures.
· Windows administration experience desired.
. Well averse with DB Scripting, SQL Profiler, Extended Events, Query Analyzer and Query Store and Intelligent query processing.
