Job Title: Assistant Principal - Engineering & Technology
Reports to: Principal
Salary Range: £80,000 - £85,000
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Morgan Hunt are delighted to be supporting Cardiff and Vale College to recruit for an Assistant Principal - Engineering & Technology.
The successful postholder will spearhead the development and execution of a sector leading technology curriculum, with a particular emphasis on the new Advanced Technology Centre campus.
Reporting to the Principal, you will design and implement an innovative curriculum tailored to meet the demands of both employers and local communities. This curriculum will serve as a cornerstone in the college's mission to equip both young learners and adult professionals with the skills necessary for the rapidly evolving job market
Key responsibility of the Assistant Principal - Engineering & Technology
* Lead and assume responsibility for devising and executing an innovative technology curriculum, embracing the latest advancements in industry and technology
* Collaborate with employers to create suitable technical pathways and deliver commercial training programs.
* Create offerings across all levels, with a special emphasis on apprenticeships and degree apprenticeships.
* Collaborate and develop strong relationships with local and national employers
* Ensure that the campus is appropriately resourced to deliver high quality teaching and learning and ensure that robust quality assurance procedure
* Work with senior colleagues to ensure alignment of College policies, procedures, and planning.
* Meet recruitment and income targets while maintaining control and budgetary constraints.
* Ensure efficient allocation of resources and staffing to deliver the College's curriculum offerings effectively.
* Implement the College's quality improvement cycles, taking a leading role in setting, promoting, and maintaining high expectations and standards.
The ideal Assistant Principal - Engineering & Technology will have:
* Degree or relevant professional qualifications
* Excellent knowledge and successful track record of developing new provision
* Experience of leading complex projects on time and within budget
* Experience of developing effective working partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders
* Professional experience in Further Education and/or Higher Education
* Experience in curriculum planning
* Skilled in budget management.
Salary - £80,000 - £85,000
