Your new role
You will be joining the team in one of three possible locations as a Senior Software Engineer. In this role your day-to-day responsibilities will include, designing and developing on-board and ground test software for payloads. You will be a proactive team player, who will solve root cause issues using strong analytical skills, estimating resources for completing software solutions, and effectively documenting and presenting information. You will have the flexibility and willingness to travel to other locations when necessary.

What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, it is essential you can demonstrate the ability to derive software designs from requirements. You will have experience developing Python applications and modules, and developing C/C++ for Linux systems. It's a bonus if you can demonstrate a track record of innovation, designing high availability and secure software systems. Your new role
In this role you will oversee the entire product development lifecycle for satellite communication products, including the specification, design, and validation of products. We are looking for an experienced Mobile Plumbing Engineer to work with a range of Mitie clients undertaking inspection and repairs across a variety of commercial plumbing and drainage installations, including Pipework inspections, adaptions, and repairs. It will also be expected that the successful candidate will carry out building fabric repairs and maintenance tasks.

You should be capable of working to the highest level of service for the client, answering queries, reporting any defects, and keeping them informed of site activities at the time of the service visit. You will also be required to complete all work-related documentation accurately and on time, keeping logs of inspection reports and remedial work.

You will have knowledge of Health & Safety, Permit to Work procedures and safe systems of working, have good verbal and written communication and be physically able to carry out the fuller duties detailed in the job description.

The ideal candidate would have a background within Maintenance / Facilities Management environment or similar and be to either C&G Level 2 / NVQ Level 2 and/or 3 or equivalent / technical diploma.

Additional Joinery/Carpentry qualifications would also be desirable but not essential.

As part of our growing Engineering family, we are looking for an experienced Electrician to join us as a Mobile Electrical Engineer.

This is a role that is diverse and interesting, as no two days are the same. You will be upgrading, installing systems and carrying out maintenance works, inspections and fault finding.

You will keep the clients updated with any developments, recording all activities, remedial works, inspection logs etc and ensure a high level of customer service and will need good verbal and written communication and comfortable working with IT to record your tasks and updates.

You will be Level 2 and 3 City and Guilds 2330 or NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation (AND/OR?) 17th or 18th edition.

The ideal candidate would have a background in facilities management, mobile maintenance or construction with project work within a region.

Job purposeIn your new role as a Mobile Electrical Engineer you will be responsible for undertaking a variety of tasks including maintenance inspections, fault finding, upgrades and installations activities. Some of the systems you will be working on could include, single phase and three phase distribution, UPS systems, generators, emergency lighting, SWA and containment and commercial lighting systems. All works are to be completed in line with the latest guidance and legislation such as SFG20 or relevant ACoP's where applicable.You will be expected to complete all work-related documentation accurately and on time, keeping logs of inspections reports and remedial work.

We are looking for individuals with:Experience within a Maintenance / Facilities Management environment. Electrical AP experience. Relevant qualifications required e.g. Level 3 Award, C&G, 2391, 18th Edition or equivalent.Knowledge of Health & Safety, Permit to Work procedures and safe systems of working. Capability to perform manual tasks, including manual handling, working at heights and in confined spaces as well as a willingness to participate in the On-Call Rota.Full Driving License.

The Company

One site operation with circa 65 staff. The standard operating hours are 7.30am to 4pm Monday to Friday.

The Role

The Technical Manager is responsible for ensuring that all products manufactured by the Company meet safety, quality, and legal requirements. This will be achieved by monitoring and maintaining quality assurance systems, food safety audits and HACCAP.

Key Responsibilities
.
 Continually develop and maintain the Company quality management system and HACCP. with the assistance of our current BRC co-ordinator and administrator
 Act upon legislation and guidelines to ensure that manufacturing is conducted legally.
 Advise on hygiene and housekeeping, factory fabrication and food handling practices to ensure products are produced in a food safe environment.
 Ensure compliance to customer's requirements and standards and the BRC Global Standard for food safety.
 Provide information and expertise to external stakeholders on all food safety and quality related matters.
 Be the main contact for and liaise with third party auditors. Ensure all documentation is available. Implement agreed corrective actions.
 Ensure compliance to relevant standards.
 Complete internal audits.
 Advise on food safety and hygiene.
 Training of staff on food safety and hygiene to develop a food strong safety culture.
 Ensure maintenance of customer and raw material specifications.
 Liaise and co-operate with the directors and production and commercial teams to ensure that customers are supplied with food products which are safe to eat, and that the quality complies with specifications.
 Liaise and co-operate with the directors and production and commercial teams to ensure that products meet current legislation standards and that they are produced under methods of Good Manufacturing Practices.
 Oversee launch of new products and artwork approval system.
 Conduct supplier audits as required.
 Set objectives including team and individual KPI's based on a consumer-focused business plan and monitoring these objectives and KPI's to ensure they are met.
 Analyse possible reasons for product defects and quality lapses and lead traceability investigations.
 Developing inspection protocols for materials, products and packaging and SOPs that are aligned with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
