The LIMS Technical Analyst provides operational and application support for Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) across pathology services. 9. Actxa is looking for Technical Product Manager (Consumer Electronic Products)

What will you do?

1. Product Development:

• Project manage and oversee the end-to-end hardware product development lifecycle, from concept to production.
• Understand Software/Firmware integration and experiences in firmware specification review.
• Collaborate with firmware, software development team to ensure seamless integration between hardware and software components.
• Project scheduling and resource planning.

2. Production Management and Quality Assurance:

• Understand production process, drive and manage OEM/ODM factories for the entire production cycle including the RMA processes.
• Establish and enforce quality standards for hardware products, ensuring compliance with tender requirements, client’s specification and regulatory requirements.
• Establish effective QA/QC methodologies, standards and processes, conduct through testing, validation of hardware products and failure analysis.

3. Regulatory Compliance:

• Stay informed about industry compliance, regulations, and standards in consumer electronics.

4. Customer and Vendor Management:

• Work closely with key customers to ensure product features, delivery timeline and quality meet their requirements.
• Respond to key customers’ technical feedback and enquiries in a timely manner.
• Identify and engage with external partners, factory vendors, and suppliers for product design, development, testing and manufacturing.
• Establish cost efficient RMA processes with clients and vendors.

5. Innovation and Research:

• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in hardware technologies, AI, and preventive health to identify opportunities for innovation.
• Develop and maintain a technology roadmap for hardware solutions, keeping abreast of industry trends and advancements.
• Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies to enhance the company's competitive position.

6. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Work closely with clients, vendors, software development, data science, and product management teams to align hardware solutions to company’s goal and values.
• Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to communicate hardware features and benefits to clients and stakeholders.
• Collaborate research partners and institutions on the research and development that potentially create next generation preventive health technologies.

7. Team Management:

• Lead and mentor junior CE Product Engineers, ensuring they are equipped to deliver high-quality solutions.

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in a team lead role with at least 5 years experiences in consumer electronic product development.
• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements in the consumer electronic or healthcare industry.
• Familiarity or deep interest in wellness, health and AI will be an added advantage.
• Regular regional travel to vendors, partners and customers’ site is expected for this role.

• Strong experience with Java Technologies
• Experience in ReactJS is a plus

• 3+ years of experience in a software engineering leadership position
• Customer oriented and skilled in developing a strong understanding of customer needs and marrying those with optimal technology solutions
• Knowledge of Object Oriented Programming and SQL
• Ability to manage a hosting environment, including database administration as well as scaling applications to handle load changes
• Understanding of front-end web technologies
• Experienced in developing on Unix/Linux environments

Job Description

•Provide technical leadership for hybrid cloud environment (public cloud and on-premise data centre) and related technologies including DevOps, CI/CD, Lean, and data centre platforms solutions, such as VMs, OSes, database, storage, backup, monitoring, automation.

•Strong architecture skills with ability to design and guide others designing solutions.

•Understand business and technical requirements and evangelise modern Cloud, DevOps, CI/CD, Lean practices.

•Design cloud consumption models, processes and technical solutions to ensure application teams are able to build and deploy solutions with minimal friction while ensuring security and operational control.

•Actively and effectively track and manage initiatives and BAU activities.

•Team and people management.

•Operate within assigned budget and demonstrate fiscal responsibility.

•Support audit and infrastructure/network security improvements, disaster recovery and security related drills.

•Define opportunities for automation wherever possible to improve developer agility.

Requirements

•Possess a degree in Information Technology or related fields.

•Minimum of 10 years of IT experience with at least 4 year working hands-on with AWS or Azure, and on-premise platforms solutions and technologies (OSes, databases, storage, backup, messaging, monitoring, and automation solutions, etc). Minimum 5 years of people and team management experience.

•Expert and “hands on” knowledge of AWS cloud and ideally good familiarity with another cloud provider (e.g. Azure / GCP).

•AWS Certified Solution Architect (Professional) certification preferred.

•Advanced python scripting skills preferred.

•Strong experience with security (cloud compliance, vulnerability management, patching, encryption, best practices etc).

•Understanding and ability to communicate cloud business benefits, cloud economics, cloud migrations, cloud native architectures, etc.

•Conversant with many different areas of infrastructure, infrastructure definition tools (Cloud Formation, Terraform, ARM templates) and automation tools (Ansible).

•Strong analytical, project management, communications and interpersonal skills. Strong collaboration skills and growth mindset.
