Overview:

The Head of Projects & Operations role will be responsible for delivering all aspects of this organisation’s infrastructure projects, service delivery, OH&S management, maintenance client specification compliance and regulatory requirements.

The Head of Projects & Operations will act as the primary interface between the infrastructure contractors, customers and the Project Managers for the delivery of network infrastructure, operating independently and effectively across different functional groups and stakeholders.

Position Duties and Requirements:

• Oversee the Management of multiple projects
• Complete Project budgets and deliver to those budgets
• Oversee the Operations and Maintenance of the existing Network
• Drive the delivery of current and future infrastructure projects to deliver the committed timeframes
• Daily and Weekly project reporting to customer and management
• Full responsibility for the life cycle of projects, from commencement (planning), project completion and handover
• Interpret and read relevant technical specifications
• Liaise with internal and external clients to build relationships and assist with the delivery of the project objectives
• Monitor and maintain quality of deliverables throughout project
• Manage and coordinate contractors and stakeholders

Requirements:

• Minimum 10 Years’ experience in Telecommunications construction projects
• Proven experience in managing large-scale infrastructure projects and service delivery, particularly within fibre optics or telecommunications
• Proven experience in managing 3rdparty contractors
• Must have outside plant experience as PM or Operations role
• Strong understanding of dark fibre technologies, network operations and infrastructure management
• Experience managing OHS & Safety standards, including compliance with regulatory frameworks
• Excellent Google Suite skills including Google Earth KMZ

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategy on paper sales in each of the globally identified markets to fulfil growth and annual profitability targets.
• Meet and understand customers’ paper products requirements (including technical specifications) in each market and translate the requirements to production, deliveries and allocation.
• Drive coordination of global tissue production and allocation by coordinating with Production, Logistic, Technical and other relevant Departments on issues relating to product quality and Tracking Satisfaction.
• Build positive business relationships with key accounts / customers for long-term business sustainability.
• Develop marketing strategies to establish proper market positioning, pricing, and segmentation of the company’s products in alignment with business objectives to support the growth targets.

Requirements

• At least 15 years of successful commercial management experience in the paper industry
• Strong understanding of paper product knowledge and customer needs
• Strong in operations, demonstrated experience in managing the value chain from production to customers
• Commercially savvy with high business acumen
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Good leadership and people management skills
• Good degree in any specialization, MBA preferred
