Our Client is a well-established electronics components representative and distribution company serving major electronics manufacturers in the ASEAN region, distributing semiconductors, discrete components, and passive components.
Responsibilities:
Drive Product Line & Develop Strategies:
- Lead the development and implementation of strategic plans for product lines.
- Identify market needs and develop products that meet those needs.
- Ensure alignment of product strategies with overall business goals.
Create Business Opportunities with Potential Customers:
- Identify and target potential customers through research and market analysis.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers.
- Present and promote products to prospective clients.
Conduct Market Surveys:
- Perform comprehensive market research to understand industry trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
- Analyze data to inform product development and marketing strategies.
- Stay updated on technological advancements and market demands.
Prospect for New Accounts:
- Actively seek out new sales opportunities through networking, cold calling, and other prospecting techniques.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of potential clients.
- Convert leads into profitable accounts.
Service Existing Customers:
- Provide exceptional service to existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly.
- Maintain regular contact with customers to understand their needs and offer relevant solutions.
Provide Market Trend Feedback:
- Collect and analyze feedback from customers and the market.
- Report insights and trends to the product development and marketing teams.
- Use feedback to refine products and strategies.
Assist in Price Negotiations and Customer Delivery Issues:
- Support the sales team in negotiating prices with customers.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of products.
- Address and resolve any delivery-related issues.
Knowledge of Electronic Business:
- Understand the electronic industry and its dynamics.
- Stay updated on industry developments and technological advancements.
- Apply this knowledge to enhance product offerings and strategies.
Communication Skills:
- Engage with international clients and partners confidently.
Work Independently with Purchasing and Design Engineers:
- Collaborate with purchasing and design engineers to develop and source products.
- Ensure products meet technical specifications and quality standards.
- Manage projects independently, from concept to completion.
Knowledge of Semiconductors (Analog/Digital):
- Have a strong understanding of semiconductor technology.
- Apply technical knowledge to support product development and sales efforts.
Technical Competency:
- Possess technical skills relevant to the industry.
- Able to understand and explain complex technical information to customers.
Initiative:
- Demonstrate proactive behavior in identifying opportunities and solving problems.
- Take the lead on projects and drive them to successful completion.
Flexibility to Work Long Hours:
- Willingness to work extended hours to complete daily assignments or take on new roles as needed.
- Adaptable to changing work demands and environments.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
- Possess a Class 3 driving license.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in the electronics field, preferably in components sales.
- Strong knowledge of the local electronics industry and a willingness to work hard to meet the company's goals and objectives.
- Travel may be required but not frequent.
