Technical Project Manager

Cheltenham Contract Day rate: £700- £750 Inside IR35

We're currently seeking an experienced and innovative Technical Project Manager to work with our exceptional client in a secure environment, managing challenging and highly rewarding projects.

This contract role will require you to conduct security clearance prior to assignment. The opportunity is available in Cheltenham and based onsite.

This Technical Project Manager role is conducted in an environment that is far from ordinary, therefore, we're not looking for ordinary. Our client is looking for a Technical Project Manager to work within their engineering team. This role will enable product delivery and ensure requirements remain structured, focused and on track throughout the delivery lifecycle

Role requirements:

* Lower proof of concepts from research teams and working with the delivery community to develop plans to realise high instances.

* Subsequently ensuring delivery of scaled and sustained high capabilities.

* Project and Delivery Management of technical engineering work packages within business area governance and policy frameworks. Reporting project progress and managing issues.

* Development of sustainment and product testing work packages, supporting life-cycle management of technical capabilities.

* Delivery of technology within the aspirations of investment case and technical strategies.

* Success achieved through quarterly OKR's (objectives and key results) and annual objectives.

Key responsibilities:

* Technical Project Management of Engineering Projects

* Identify and set project controls.

* Resources - Scheduled and manage resources required to deliver the project

* Budget - Manage delivery within budget

* Project performance controls - build project plan and apply appropriate project principles to deliver stated objectives.

* Track and report on delivery outcomes

* Governance - provide key reports and support effective governance and decision making

* Engaging and managing the stakeholder community (internally, externally and across a range of diverse communities)

* Discuss requirements with the operations community, Product Lead and Chief Engineer ensuring the engineering ecosystem are engaged through proactive communication.

* Risks and issues - identify and monitor project risks and issues. Develop mitigating actions and escalates as appropriate

* Maintain a project risk register and escalate delivery risk to the Chief Engineer.

Software Developer

Contract, on-site in Gloucestershire or Manchester

DV clearance required

£500 - £600 per day Inside IR35

As our client looks to improve their analytic capability, they need to improve their underlying technologies, stacks and tools. Do you have the skills and experience in any of the following topics?

* Infrastructure Management - e.g Docker Management, Jenkins Pipelines, Kubernetes Deployments, overall VM Management application, and tool deployment.

* Automations - e.g Deployments of tools and scrips to data pipelines to process data on arrival from all sorts of partners, Apache NiFi Development.

*UI and Application Dev - We have a set of requirements that provide user and system interfaces to bring all or our information to our users more effectively.

The types of work the team are currently involved in consist of:

* Building the pipelines to deploy and run ML models on data ingest

* Creating Applications to merge queries across multiple tools and environments

* Automating manual workflows

* Applying and deploying new models."

Application Developer

Guidant Global is looking for an experienced Application Developer for a 12-month contract to deliver new capability which is paramount to various priority workstreams in an interesting and diverse IT environment.

The successful candidate will be required to go through DV clearance for this role.

Responsibilities include

· Write, test and deploy data processing to meet customer requirements

· Filter and compliance check data movement between customers/domains

· Deploy and maintain a set of in-house kubernetes clusters for application deployments in multiple domains

· Maintain NiFi ansible roles for users to spin up their own clusters

· Offer NiFi advise, guidance and training

· Contribute software and infrastructure towards the team's innovation effort

· Contribute features and bug fixes to open-source projects in use by the team

We're currently seeking an accomplished and highly ambitious Software Engineer to work with our exceptional client, a world class brand in a secure environment to drive major business transformation, process and technical change across this complex organisation.

This contract roles will require you to conduct security clearance prior to assignment or hold a valid DV clearance. The Software Engineer role is conducted in an environment that is far from ordinary, therefore, we're not looking for ordinary. The role is based on site.

Key responsibilities:

* Software development on projects within a multi-disciplinary delivery team

* Respond to client requests, anticipating and meeting client problems and needs using innovative approaches when applicable.

Systems Engineer

Contract Onsite in Gloucestershire £550 day rate inside IR35

We are currently seeking an experienced and ambitious Solution Architects to work with our exceptional client, a world class brand in a secure environment.

This contract requires you to hold valid DV clearance.

The Systems Engineer will be accountable for the design and systems engineering approach for the creation of a new system, and/or the upgrade of an existing system. Broad technical understanding of multiple technologies spanning but not exclusive to Infrastructure, Software and Data environments.

* Design - includes technical, businesspeople, process, security, information, and facilities aspect of the systems design.

* To ensure that there is a high-level design to cover the breadth of the system, as well as low level designs sufficient for the system to be built, compliant with Enterprise Architecture

* Create and own a Systems Engineering Management plan (SEMP) to describe the engineering approach and communicate it to stakeholders.

* Successfully build the system and bringing it into service, which includes:

* Definition of scope

* Requirements

* Solution Options

* Design

* Supplier Engagement

* Verification of validation (testing)

* Business change and assurance (system engineering gates)

* Take a broad view of the system under development, including the system boundary, wider system of interest and emergent properties, and will use this "systems thinking" to inform the engineering approach and the trade-offs in the design. Draw together the disparate parts of the design and threads of work and consider them as a whole.

* Work alongside the Project Manager and/or Programme Manager, which will be accountable for planning.

* A system design that is feasible, complete, and sufficient to meet the business need, it will include business, technology, people, processes, security, and facilities aspects.

* An engineering approach to realise the system described by the design. The approach must be based on a tailoring of the System Development Framework (SDF), optimised to provide the best chance of delivery.
