Major Duties:

• Program Planning and Implementation:
  • Participates in short and long term National and Region-wide telehealth planning.
  • Manages National, Regional & cross-VISN TMH and Tele Primary Care clinical projects with specific emphasis on technological connectivity between participating provider and recipient Health Care System Medical Centers, CBOCs and other VA facilities.
  • Assists participating provider sites and individual veterans with establishing home based CVT (hCVT) services including provision of mobile device solutions, installation and operation.

  • Develops and maintains systems to ensure that hCVT workload is captured properly and reimbursement is optimized for cost recovery.
  • Analyzes telehealth data, identifies trends and issues of concern with emphasis on technological challenges and solutions to surmount identified obstacles.
  • Develops, monitors and reviews trend analyses regarding clinical care connectivity and performance improvement activities.
  • Reviews material and monitors operations with regard to compliance with the standards of internal and external accrediting agencies.
  • Develops background and management options available to deal with complex National/Regional/VISN planning and implementation issues with regard to CVT-based services.
  • Recommends action or adjustments necessary to achieve required objectives.
  • Ensures proposals/initiatives submitted for VACO/VISN approval are complete and all implementation requirements are accurately identified.
• Reports Results/Monitors Remedial Actions:
  • Compiles final reports including comprehensive analyses; notes discrepancies and planned initiatives for effecting remedial actions.
  • Provides consultation to VISN leadership across VISN 9 and possibly other VISNs and implements resolutions based on provider and service sites mutual interests.
  • Establishes process controls to ensure recommendations and actions are completed as approved.
  • Monitors action items within the organization and ensures appropriate progress to remedy problems and to mitigate risk management.
  • Recommends new policies and procedures and recommends revision for existing Region/VISN policies and procedures in keeping with National guidelines and priorities.
• Program Review and Documentation Preparation:
  • Ensures effective reporting for the VISN 9 healthcare telehealth delivery system.
  • Serves as the point of contact for network operations information, reports, data pulls, controlled correspondence and local, VISN or national suspense items relevant to technology, equipment, software and IT systems management.
  • Ensures communications are accurate, professional and complete. and that written documents are completed according to organizational formats/guidelines
  • Drafts new and revised Regional/VISN Memoranda and Bulletins and upon review and concurrence of the VISN 9 Clinical Resource HUB Director and concerned services, disseminates these documents and publications.

As a Quality Assurance & Technical Specialist, your primary responsibility is to ensure that all pension guidance delivered meets established quality standards and is technically accurate. You’ll work closely with the Pensions Operations team, focusing on calls, webchat, and written enquiries to maintain high-quality service delivery. Additionally, you’ll collaborate with the Pensions Quality Assurance & Technical Manager and the Quality Assurance & Technical team.

As a Quality Assurance & Technical Specialist, you will be responsible:

Ensuring that all pension guidance delivered is technically accurate and that the customer experience standards are met.

The following are the main duties of the Quality Assurance & Technical Specialist role:

• Ensuring that services are technically accurate and meet an agreed set of customer service standards.
• Answer technical queries from our Pensions Guidance specialists about all and any aspects of pensions.
• Anticipating upcoming topics by picking up on new developments across the pensions industry.
• Update the technical accuracy of pensions guidance content and information products.
• Attend meetings and workshops etc., within the scope of the role.
• Contribute to the technical learning and development strategy and help to deliver the quality assurance plan, both of which deliver continuous improvement to the organisation.

You will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience.

• A deep and wide knowledge of pensions’ law and practice across a broad range of pension arrangements, occupational, personal, and state pension
• An understanding and appreciation of wider retirement issues and non-pension assets, including state benefits.
• Must be good at dealing with members of the public, translating complex ideas and topics clearly.
• A commitment to on-going personal and professional development; we may require you to undertake training within the scope of the role.
• A successful track record of producing clear, technical communications.
• FPMI, APMI or CII qualifications or equivalent in related areas (Desirable).

• Serves as advisor to all levels of management on employee relations issues to include misconduct, poor performance, performance plans, grievances, and reasonable accommodation. Advice provided is cleared with a senior Employee Relations Specialist or Supervisory Employee Relations Specialist.
