Your new role
You will be joining the Customer Services Team and will work collaboratively with both the commercial and supply chain teams. The main purpose of your role is to support a specific portfolio of customers to ensure that their orders are accurately processed and managed, whilst building long-standing relationships and understanding requirements. • Managing communication between the organisation and customer, ensuring that all data for the customer is accurate.

What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this position, previous experience working within the manufacturing industry or in a similar role is required. You will be able to demonstrate excellent communication and negotiation skills, whilst being an excellent team player. Proficiency in SAP is highly desirable, along with working knowledge and understanding of ERP systems. Fluency in German, French or Spanish is highly desirable but not essential for consideration.

• Experience within the manufacturing industry, ideally with an understanding of export compliance and contract administration
• Ability to solve customer problems as they arise whilst maintaining and increasing important internal and external stakeholder relationships
• Accuracy and attention to detail

The standard hours of work are

What makes this role unique is
You will test and inspect electrical installations across prison facilities in accordance with the 18th IEE wiring regulations as amended from time to time. Prison Security Clearance will be required (Amey will support you through this process).
We want to hear from you if you have/are:

• Appropriate technical qualifications e.g. City & Guilds 2365 parts 1-3, BTEC, NVQ level 3 or above
• BS7671 IET Wiring Regulations, specifically 18th Edition*.
• Experience of electrical maintenance activities, general distribution and installation and testing.
• Knowledge and experience of Electrical Systems and Electricity at work Regulations.
• Capable of working at heights.
• Ability to work alone and use initiative.

Ideally, you will be qualified for the 18th Edition (however, if you currently only have 17th Edition, we will sponsor you to upgrade to the 18th Edition; terms and conditions apply) with experience in electrical maintenance within a commercial environment.
In addition to this, it would be desirable if you had IT skills and experience in fire alarm systems and CCTV systems to help you hit the ground running, although this is not essential as we will provide you with the required development you need to bring you up to speed.

Are you the right person for the job?

• It is desirable that the successful candidate has previous experience in the vehicle rental sector though applications from those with skills in a customer service or administrative role will be considered
• Applicants will have excellent communication skills, both face to face, written, and via the telephone
• The candidate must have the ability to work on their own initiative as well as part of a team
• Be computer literate
• Have held a full driving licence for a minimum period of 12 months
• Be eligible to work in the UK

What will your role as a Vehicle Rental Hire Administrator look like?

• Report to the Branch Rental Manager and working as part of a valued team
• Dealing with customer enquiries, allocation of vehicles, co-ordinating vehicle collection, and deliveries
• Ensure the local team achieves the profit and targets set combined with running the branch operation in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner
