Friends of the Elderly (FotE) is a not-for-profit charity dedicated to providing excellent care with a family feel, we have been supporting older people for over 100 years. The charity provides care home and day care services for older people, as well as grants for older people in financial difficulty.

With a person-focused approach to care, Davenham, Bradbury Court and Perrins House are picturesque homes situated in beautiful grounds in Malvern. Specialising in care for people with dementia, as well as residential and nursing care, we have a dedicated, well-trained and compassionate team of staff that care for our residents.

In this all-encompassing role, you will support the General Manager in providing leadership to the care and support staff and nurses to ensure the delivery of high-quality care and support. Always keeping the residents at the heart of our care delivery, you will take the lead on supporting and facilitating their nursing and medical needs, ensuring we are following legislative requirements and accepted best practice.

As our Clinical Lead, you will…

Ensure all recording systems and organisational documentation are of a high standard and kept up to date.
Oversee the duty rota - ensuring skills mix and numbers on duty are appropriate for the assessed needs of the residents.
Work in cooperation with members of the multidisciplinary teams to maximise opportunities for our residents.
Identify information, concerns and ideas for improvement and share them with the General Manager.
Understand the regulatory framework that governs the service, including the role of the Care Inspectorate and its requirements.
We’d like you to be registered with a relevant body (e.g. NMC) and have proven experience working within a similar role. With a strong understanding of CQC regulations and adult safeguarding, you will have great communication and leadership skills and will be comfortable communicating with external health professionals.

Experienced in working with residents, particularly those that may have additional support needs, you will be knowledgeable on incident analysis and the completion of root cause analysis reports and will be responsible for the subsequent action plan.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced surveyor to undertake a secure and stable permanent position, playing a key role in ensuring people in the local area have safe homes to live in.
Your new role
Your new role will see you undertake building surveys and contract administration, across capital contracts of residential and domestic properties. This will include void and tenanted properties, where you will be responsible for the delivery of reactive maintenance. Your responsibilities will include:

• All contract administration including schedules of works, feasibility studies and stock condition surveys.
• Pre-and-post inspection surveys to oversee building safety and disrepair issues, investigating the route cause of problems that require attention.
• Monitor and supervise contractor works to ensure that issues are solved.
• Monitoring capital expenditure and maintain financial records of works/projects.
• Be customer facing which will include handling customer complaints in a professional and polite manner.
• Work in compliance with appropriate authority and social housing regulations.
• Undertake any other opportunities in line with your position.

What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you will be either degree qualified or HNC as a minimum within Building Surveying. Candidates who do have extensive experience in the area may also be considered. You will have a proven track record in carrying out inspections on residential properties, always aiming to provide tenants and customers with a first class level of service. You will have the confidence to take ownership in your role and of projects to ensure the successful delivery of works, and health and safety should always be your biggest priority.

**Key Responsibilities:**


* Set and operate the Amada Brake Press to produce parts according to technical drawings and instructions.
* Verify machine settings to ensure accurate tolerances and machine functions.
* Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of the machine and work area.
* Follow all required safety procedures before and during operations.
* Organize the work area efficiently before and after part processing.
* Load and unload materials onto the machine for processing.



**Key Requirements:**


* Minimum of 1 years experience in setting and operating an Amada Brake Press.
* At least 1 years experience with forming various sizes and thicknesses of blanks.
* Proficient in using Vernier calipers to measure and check job accuracy.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate effectively.
