Your New Role:

We are currently looking to appoint a new Learning Support Assistant and join our amazing team at our unique outdoor setting to students aged 9-19 in our growing Warwickshire setting based in Southam on a full time, permanent basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing proactive support in lessons and, where needed, taking instruction from the subject teacher to best progress the academic achievement of the students within the session. We are looking for practitioners who can build trusting relationships our learners, in order to work with them at all levels of emotional difficulty during sessions, downtime and transitions.

Outdoor learning is central in our provisions. The appointed candidate will need to be an advocate of outdoor learning, incorporating this into as many lessons as possible. You will also be delivering small group sessions at a base specifically crafted for a small group of students. Job Description:We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 2 SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a broad spectrum SEN school in Coleshill, Warwickshire. Our school caters to students from early years through to post-16, providing a supportive and inclusive environment for all.
Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers in delivering tailored educational programs to students with a range of special educational needs.
• Support students' learning and development, ensuring their safety and well-being.
• Work with small groups or on a one-to-one basis to provide targeted support.
• Help create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Assist with classroom management and organization.
• Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.

Requirements:

• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification.
• Experience working with children with special educational needs is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
