Housing Support Worker | Leeds | Full Time - 9:00am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday | Starting from £24,000 per annum

If so, our client wants you to join their dedicated team at their Leeds office as a Housing Support Worker!
As a Housing Support Worker, you will be at the heart of supporting clients who are socially excluded, homeless, or facing challenges like domestic violence and refugee status. You will work closely with them to assess their needs and help them transition from temporary to sustainable accommodation. Your role is pivotal in improving their well-being by helping them access benefits, education, and employment opportunities, while also encouraging independence.
Are you the right person for the job?
• Knowledge of the UK Benefits System/Universal Credit
• Experience working with vulnerable individuals or those facing housing challenges
• Ability to create and manage support plans that balance risk management and independence
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with external agencies
• A full UK driving licence is essential as you will be required to travel to support clients
What will your role look like?
• Engage with vulnerable individuals facing issues such as homelessness, anti-social behaviour, or domestic violence
• Develop individualised support and risk management plans to promote independent living
• Assist clients with income and benefit maximisation, debt reduction, and finding sustainable accommodation
• Liaise with external agencies to meet the comprehensive support needs of clients
• Keep accurate records and submit reports to ensure service quality and compliance
• Support continuous improvement of the service and contribute to a culture of equality, diversity, and anti-discrimination
• Participate in team meetings, appraisals, and training to stay informed and effective in your role
