Transport Manager. As the Transport Manager you will be working for a Local Authority in the West Midlands. This is initially a contract role for 6 months, daily rate £350-400/day. Thereafter, there will be an opportunity for the role to become permanent.

To manage all functions of the transport operation within the waste collection and street cleansing fleet, ensuring a full and effective control is placed upon the management of the fleet and the company's operator licence.
You will work closely with the other transport managers in a joined up approach. The position is the focal point for the provision, use and safety of vehicles and plant and their operators. Ensuring that all functions related to the law and legislation of the operator licence are met and procedures and instructions are disseminated and followed.

For Experienced Recruitment Consultants:

• Basic Salary: £26,000 - £28,500.
• First-Year Earnings: £28,000 - £31,500 (including commission).

For Entry-Level Candidates (No Recruitment Experience Required):

• Starting salary of £24,250, increasing to £26,000 after a year, and £28,500 after two years (with satisfactory reviews). First-year on-target earnings up to £27,000 with commission.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Client Interaction: Visit new and existing clients to understand their needs.

• Temporary worker Selection: Identify and assess candidates to match client requirements.

• High-Quality Service: Ensure delivery of services aligns with company values.

• Sales Targets: With support, work towards achievable sales goals.

Hours:

• Monday to Friday: 8:00am - 5:00pm with a one-hour lunch break.
