Our client, a not-for-profit housing association require a Head of Building Safety and Compliance Manager. The role is working on a FTC basis for 6 months reporting into the Director of Building Safety and Compliance.

As a member of the senior compliance team, you will be responsible for ensuring all compliance across the Group. Ensuring all legislation is met and properties are safe and compliant.
The role oversees field based building safety and compliance teams that are based nationally. The role can be worked on a hybrid/remote basis with alignment to a local office including travel as required.

RESPONSIBILITIES
As Head of Building Safety and Compliance Manager you will:-

•Manage the Building Safety Team and ensure compliance with the Building Safety Act

REQUIREMENTS

As Head of Building Safety and Compliance Manager you will have:-

•Significant experience working for a Housing Association or Local authority in a senior leadership role
•Strong strategic leadership experience with substantial experience of managing geographically dispersed teams
•Strong communication skills with proven experience of senior stakeholder liaison and relationship building including report writing and analysis for the Board and Executive
•Qualifications to include CIOB Level 6, RICS, NEBOSH, and experience with high-rise buildings would be highly desirable
•Previous experience in a similar role with knowledge of the Building Safety Act with strong technical knowledge
•Previous experience of Contractor management
•Full driving licence with the flexibility to travel nationally to meetings and offices as required

• Rate of pay: £23,887 per annum
• Shift patterns: 5 days out of 7 - Flexible shifts between 06:00-14:00 and 10:00-18:00

You will be required to:

• Manage stock accuracy levels within the depot and stock loaded into trailers against drivers' paperwork and check the accuracy of incoming deliveries.
• Delivery Checker's will be confident in their ability to add and subtract without the use of a calculator
• Able to actively respond to both verbal instructions and audible warning devices
• The ability to communicate well, both written and verbally
• Ensure your own and the team's KPI's are met
• Perform and document weekly supervision with each team member
• Monitor audit data to provide performance feedback to each team member regarding

Your new role
Reporting into the Director of FP&A, this role will partner with a number of key stakeholders across the shared service functions to manage and ensure all cost allocation and pricing operations are correct and up to date. This role will be the primary systems owner and subject-matter expert for their cloud services across the business unit, helping to refine operational processes, to support and deliver key priorities. This will include:

• Lead the delivery of financial and business planning requirements related to cost allocations
• Proactively provide timely commercial support with commentary related to budgeted results
• Deliver financial reports, analysis and forecasts
• Collaborate with global and regional teams
• Lead the budgeting process for cost allocation as well as the month-end results, a 5-year strategy meeting deadlines.
• Contribute to finance projects as a subject-matter expert.
• Support the ongoing development and use of cloud based finance systems, specifically oracle fusion.

What you'll need to succeed
We are looking for a highly experienced, qualified accountant with experience in management reporting, budgeting and forecasting. You should have experience with cost allocations and or transfer pricing ideally from a corporate environment. Whilst Oracle experience would be ideal, other cloud-based systems would be useful, such as SAP or Power BI.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management & Oversight

• Create and maintain detailed project plans outlining key milestones, timelines, and deliverables for activities such as induction, development events, cohort engagement activities, and roll-off processes.

• Establish effective reporting on KPIs for key stakeholders

• Coordinate our NGT impact reporting to tell a complete story of the impact of our proposition. YTD we have impacted almost 120,000 young people internally and externally.

• Working with Group Proposition lead to optimise team resource and budget associated with programme delivery.

• Coordinate with key internal stakeholders (including Next Gen Talent partners, recruitment, Learning) to ensure alignment and successful execution of all activities.

• Work with team to identify delivery risks and get mitigation strategies in place. Adjust project plans as necessary to accommodate changes in business needs or participant requirements.

• Drive continuous improvement in the planning and execution of activities, ensuring the programmes evolve in line with best practices and organisational goals and that effective retrospectives are undertaken.

• A successful candidate is likely to be experienced in both waterfall and agile project management.

On Programme Experience Delivery

• You will focus on optimising the on-programme experience, from induction to development and through to programme completion, ensuring that our early careers talent has a strong foundation and clear pathway within the organisation.

• Lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of key activities related to the Next Gen Talent programmes, ensuring they are executed on time and within scope.

• Lead the on-programme experience for Next Generation Talent, ensuring their journey is seamless and aligned with the organisation's strategic objectives.

• Implement effective listening strategies to ensure our we continue to put colleague experience at the heart of what we do when making enhancements to our offering

• Regularly review and improve the development and training framework, ensuring it meets both individual and business needs.

• Manage key milestones of the programme (e.g., rotations, performance reviews) to track and enhance progress.

• Foster a strong sense of community and belonging among Next Generation Talent cohorts, encouraging networking and collaboration.

• Ensure Line Managers are well-equipped with training, tools, and guidance to support and develop Next Gen Talent within their teams.

• Support next gen talent transitioning off the programme by assisting them in securing permanent roles within the organisation and making sure they are fully prepared for their next career step.
