Our client is a leading Public Sector Education Trust based in Ipswich, Suffolk, seeking additional HR support to join their HR team. Your new role
The reason for this vacancy is to provide additional senior administrative support to the HR team, working closely with the HR Officer and HR Manager and acting as the first point of contact for HR and recruitment. Duties include liaising with candidates regarding the recruitment and onboarding journey, such as accurately and efficiently vetting, screening, and conducting stringent Education compliance procedures, including processing DBS checks. Other duties include drafting offer letters, contracts, and other correspondence, as well as conducting payroll administration using their portal and HR software. You will be adept at reporting on subjects such as absences, sickness, and other confidential information in alignment with GDPR. In addition, organising training is a key responsibility, in which you will liaise with internal and external stakeholders to arrange sessions via administrative tasks.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, you will be a senior administrator with exposure to the HR field and systems. Other IT knowledge is essential, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Drive. You will have a baseline understanding of employment rights, and is highly desirable in an educational, healthcare, or public sector setting. Meeting deadlines and prioritisation is key as you are required to complete a variety of HR Administration tasks daily, which also requires strong attention to detail, organisation, and time management.

This is a Temporary to Permanent position, with an annual salary of £26,421 - £28,770 depending on experience (£13.50-£17 per hour).
