My client is a well-established company with over 20 years of experience in flood risk and environmental management consultancy. Their team of environmental consultants combine in-depth postgraduate training with a wealth of industry experience. They provide a comprehensive range of flood risk management and drainage services throughout the UK. This includes Flood Risk Assessments, Flood Consequence Assessments, Hydrology and Hydrological Assessments, Flood Risk Modelling and planning of mitigation measures.
They are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Flood Risk Engineer to join their team on a casual, temporary basis. This role is fully remote and will not require site visits, allowing you to work from the comfort of your own home.
Your new role
- Conduct detailed flood risk assessments and drainage strategies.
- Develop and implement innovative and effective solutions to complex flood risk problems.
- Lead and manage flood risk projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
- Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Provide technical guidance.
What you'll need to succeed
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
- Significant experience in flood risk management and drainage strategy.
- Proficiency in relevant modelling software.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ideally, your own software and resources to complete works as required.
What you'll get in return
- £20 - £30p/hour
- Remote and entirely flexible working; casual basis as and when support is needed.
