Junior Purchaser / Administrator in Manufacturing - North Bristol - £26,000 to £28,000 per annum

Our client is a leading manufacturing company based in North Bristol, they are seeking an enthusiastic and ambitious Junior Purchasing Administrator to join their team.
In this role, you will work closely the senior supply chain purchaser and gain valuable experience in all aspects of purchasing, while also branching into planning and inventory management. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable skills and progress within a dynamic company.
As a Junior Purchasing Administrator, you will play a crucial role in the purchasing team, ensuring that all purchase orders are accurately placed and managed efficiently. You will support the senior supply chain purchaser in their day-to-day tasks and have the opportunity to participate in cross training within planning and purchasing. You must have strong PC skills and knowledge of MRP/ERP systems (ideally SAP) will be put to good use as you help to improve their processes and systems.
In this role, you will also manage booking in requests and support stock checks to ensure the accuracy and reliability of inventories. Your attention to detail and strong organisational skills will be essential in supporting
continuous efforts to improve and optimise supply chain operations.
We are looking for a candidate who has a genuine interest in the manufacturing industry and is eager to learn and grow within the purchasing and supply chain field. As a Junior Purchasing Administrator, you will have the chance to work closely with a highly experienced and knowledgeable team, who will provide you with valuable guidance and mentorship.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems. SAP would be desirable.
- Strong PC skills
- Understanding of a manufacturing environment is highly desirable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to negotiate and influence
- Positive attitude to change
- Strong planning and organisational skills
