About the role:
THIS IS AN UNDERGRADUATE Summer only INTERN position located in the Greater Boston area with the ability to sit in our office in Boston in a hybrid capacity. Only full-time students will be considered.
This position performs a variety of internship assignments that supports the Human Resources team for the benefit of our teammate programs. Responsibilities include HR projects and administration. This position is a part time role, within our virtual profit center and has accountability for in-office work in Boston on a regular basis.
Core Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Will assist with filing of personnel and confidential teammate files in Sharepoint in accordance with established Brown & Brown best practices and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations
Supports teammate communications process, drafting HR announcements and all-teammate communications under the direction of our HR team
Administrative support for HR projects and administration
Supports the activities of our Culture Committee on projects and virtual events
Supports the HR Leader with activities related to the Company’s Mental Health Teammate Resource Group (ERG)
Assists in the recruitment process by scheduling interviews, follows up with candidates when appropriate and communicates effective messaging on behalf of our companies
Assists as needed in the teammate Onboarding process for new hires
Assists in preparing documents, such as offer letters and employment agreements under the direction of our HR teammates.
Supports the HR team with ad hoc requests or HR projects as needed
Skills needed:
Must be actively pursuing a college degree in an HR-related field
Familiarity with MS Office 365
Professional demeanor, willingness to learn
Flexibility to perform a wide variety of tasks and to learn about the business
Ability to commit to the summer term
