- Applies a standard body of Human Resources knowledge, rules, and procedures to perform technical support work in the areas of staffing, benefits, and background checks. Assignments include but are not limited to: keying new hires, providing information on and processing benefits, conducting employee benefits briefs for new and departing employees, employee out-processing, gathering facts involving routine HR work in the above specialty areas, initiating suitability adjudications, and processing personnel actions. Reviews HR and organizational documents for accuracy and completeness, ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state and organizational legal and policy requirements. May assist in writing, revising, updating, and preparing personnel procedures and directives, special reports and correspondence.
- Generates standard reports as needed and on a scheduled basis. Develops databases and spreadsheets to automate office procedures. Makes recommendations for systems solutions and process improvements to eliminate manual processing, ensure data accuracy and improve reporting methods.
- Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher-level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise. Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor. Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment.
- Performs other related duties as assigned. This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting up to 20 lbs may be required.
Starting at $40,000 Per Year (NF 03)
