With a diverse portfolio of projects ranging from Education and Public sector developments to Private and Commercial ventures, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality construction solutions. We specialize in Fit Out, New Build, Refurbishment, and Facilities Management projects, predominantly focusing on traditional building methods.
Role Description:
We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing projects around the £15 million mark, demonstrating proficiency in handling a variety of project types and sectors. The role will be office-based, with projects located within a 20-mile radius of Cambridge.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage cost estimation, budgeting, and financial control for construction projects.
Handle a diverse range of projects across various sectors including Education, Public, Private, Heritage, and Commercial.
Oversee Fit Out, New Build, Refurbishment, and Facilities Management projects.
Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Ensure compliance with regulations and quality standards.
Serving as a primary point of contact for clients, addressing their needs, concerns, and queries throughout the project lifecycle.
Providing regular reports on project costs, financial performance, and forecasting to project stakeholders.
Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) or Schedules of Rates.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably with exposure to projects around the £15 million mark.
Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and techniques.
Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
Proficiency in relevant software tools and technologies.
Additional Requirements:
Flexible approach to work and willingness to handle a variety of projects.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
Full UK driving license.
