Collaborate with colleagues in across the People and Culture Directorate and the wider teams within the UHB to ensure development activity is developed and deployed effectively, integrating wherever appropriate. Develop a structured approach to talent management, and succession planning that offers effective development for staff and ensure long term organisational continuity; working with the Head of Education, senior team, colleagues and external organisations (e.g. HEIW) to develop the UHB talent management and succession planning framework. Act as lead for the governance of the UHB coaching and mentoring networks to support leadership development and talent management, linking with local and national coaching and mentoring initiatives. In conjunction with existing programmes, support the Education Manager for Coaching, Mentoring and Talent to develop coaching and mentoring offers for staff. To line manage and be responsible for ensuring an effective system of performance management, including appraisal and personal development, for all direct reports and their staff, including active succession and workforce planning. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
