About Global Channel, Sales Innovation and Operations:
The Global Channel, Sales Innovation and Operations Organization is part of Commercial Organization in HP and leads the stimulating digital transformation with the expected outcome to become a more experience-driven organization. It is a strategic function that helps drive HP’s Digital Transformation and Innovation in Sales processes including our Channel Partners.
The Global Channel, Sales Innovation and Operations builds relationship with HP Customers, Partners as well as dedicated HP Sales Teams, understanding operational business models, identifying challenges in the operational process, and finding solutions on how to improve HP interlock in the operational environment.
As part of the Global Channel, Sales Innovation and Operations, the Strategy and Planning Team, drives standardized strategies, planning and execution processes across Global Channel, Sales Innovation and Operations. You will be part of a global team of highly engaged and capable colleagues supporting the organizational charter.
The Business Resource Planner will co-design & implement a governance framework to ease the tracking of organizational operating expenditures (incl. investments). You will execute this framework to ensure spend is managed within budgeted levels. You will also be accountable for an accurate organizational operating expense forecast across multiple teams. You will work side by side with each teams’ leadership team, the rest of Business Resource Planning team, the Strategy & Planning team and the Global Channel, Sales Innovation and Operations executive leadership team, HR and Finance to ensure an effective governance around the Budget Planning Cycle within the organization.
To reach the above objective you should:
- Support L3 organizations by tracking their headcount & financial planning data in the Business Resource Planning (BRP) tools.
- Support the financial Month End Close process to be able to articulate around the affordability and gap analysis, transfers, and reporting of the results.
- Conduct review meetings with executive leadership of the selected L3 groups including tracking and solution of actions to ensure spend within affordability.
- Partner with other stakeholders such as Finance, HR, and Workforce Planning.
- Keep monthly maintenance and visibility of the BRP tools aligning them to HP’s systems of records, Financial and Workforce ones.
- Create reporting packages to executive leadership around budget affordability.
- Support the budget target setting process (Long-Term-Planning) for operating expenses & one-time investments.
- Assure Data Quality within the Business Resource Planning Tools and Reports.
- Give feedback to design and implement automation micro-systems for the Business Resource Planning Tools.
- Support the creation of semi-automated Dashboards, Metrics (for example Workload Drivers, Affordability Metrics, Return of Investment Analysis, etc).
You should bring with you:
- Advanced analytical thinking and mastery of Excel (incl. pivots, complex formulas, etc.).
- Knowledgeable in concepts like dashboard, metrics, YoY, as %-age of, etc.
- Ability to handle large amounts of data, do advanced data modelling and analytics.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to develop strong and trusted working relationships with stakeholders L3s of the organization.
- High degree of flexibility and ability to work within a fluid, constantly changing environment.
- Finance acumen, MOC and project management skills are an advantage.
- Ability to prioritize multiple competing tasks seamlessly and with excellent attention to detail and quality of deliverables.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment to determine appropriate action.
- Demonstrates a strong work ethic, passion, and a positive, can-do attitude.
- Fluency in English.
- Bring and propose best practices to optimize the planning process and maximize results to reach organization targets.
- Problem solving, positive thinking, creativity.
- Proactiveness towards simplification and automation tools.
Education & Experience Recommended
- Four-year or Graduate Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
- Typically has 4-7 years of work experience, preferably in sales, operations management, project management, process improvement, or a related field or an advanced degree with 3-5 years of work experience.
