Your new role
The role encompasses a mixture of traditional building surveyor and project management across a variety of different sectors. As a building surveyor, you will be joining a vibrant team and have knowledge of Asbestos management duties, H&S legislation and CDM Regulations. This role requires experience in management of small to large sized projects, identifying building defects and preparing specifications. You will be working on current projects including fire cladding remediation, blue light refurbishments, extensions & refurbishment of schools, colleges, universities and other Public Sector Buildings.


What you'll need to succeed
Working knowledge of IT systems and software such as MS Project, Office, & AutoCAD.Work well within a team
Knowledge of the JCT forms of ContractBachelors or equivalent degree in Building Surveying and/or HNC/HND

Purpose of the Administrator role:
As part of the Works Department you will be responsible for dealing with incoming & internal calls in a responsive and professional manner. You will be able to adapt to the use of existing in-house database/ facilities management systems and maintain daily responsibilities including data look ups, conversions and data reconciliations. The ideal candidate will have proven experience of working as part of an admin team. The Works Department has expressed a preference for candidates with strong office software skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel. Use of formula within Microsoft Excel is essential. The majority of the duties will revolve around data input, of the maintenance projects and works schedules onto their system called "Planet FM" and then creating trackers on Excel.
You will also be responsible for assisting in the safety and security of the establishment, where your duties could also include escorting visitors & building contractors within the prison and outside areas. Role and Responsibilities:*To plan, develop and deliver high quality lessons using a variety of approaches, to continually enhance teaching and learning*To monitor student progress, keeping student records that include assessment outcomes and targets set at regular intervals in line with Academy policy, to enable all students to achieve their full potential.*Contribute to the safeguarding and promotion of the welfare and personal care of children and young people with regard to Every Child Matters agenda and Area Child Protection Procedures.*Ensure continuity, progression and cohesiveness in all teaching.*Set homework regularly, (in accordance with the Academy homework policy), to consolidate and extend learning and encourage students to take responsibility for their own learning*Track student progress, monitoring achievement against targets set, and take appropriate action on student outcomes.*Be a role model to students through personal presentation and professional conduct.
Requirements:*Bachelor's degree in English or any other related field.*Teaching certification or relevant teaching qualifications.*Proven experience of teaching English at the secondary or higher education level.*Strong knowledge of geographical theories, tools, and technologies.*Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
