Experienced civil engineering biased Health & Safety Advisor required to join a leading civil engineering contractor to oversee some of the largest civil infrastructure projects in the UK, traditionally ranging in value up to £500M. Majority of works predominantly include, highways, rail, aviation and tunnelling and heavy infrastructure schemes.
The role of Health & Safety Advisor
Reporting into the Head of Health & Safety and working heavily alongside the quality assurance team and site teams. You will be based in across a range of sites covering the North West.
Responsibilities for Health & Safety Advisor
This Health & Safety Advisor role will include regular liaison with subcontractors and clients to ensure they are following the correct business procedure. Enforce and roll out Health & Safety management standards and systems, alongside informing legislation changes and business development & strategy. Whilst promoting and providing training for new and existing Health & Safety campaigns.
As Health & Safety Advisor your number one priority is to ensure the sites you oversee are operating in alliance with the existing Health & Safety standards.
Requirements for Health & Safety Advisor
You will be an experienced Health & Safety Advisor with previous involvement within the construction/ civil engineering sector. Former experience working within the civils sector would be advantages. Key attributes will include industry knowledge, legislation awareness, and ability to effectively communicate with individuals of a ranging hierarchy.
