The Stores and Distribution team provides the medicine supply service for three dispensaries, all wards and departments at Epsom and St Helier hospitals and a wide variety of local community clinics.

Within the dispensary you will play a key role in preparing medicines for our patients. You will also carry out general housekeeping, filing and receptionist duties and undertake daily stock checks.

This is a developmental role, no previous hospital or pharmacy experience is required just a willingness to take on a dynamic and rewarding role supplying medicines. You will be supported to work towards rotational objectives and undertake an NVQ level 2 in Pharmacy Services. After successful completion of band 2 objectives you will then be supported to complete ‘band 2 to 3 progression objectives’.

You must be able to demonstrate excellent communication and time management skills, basic IT skills and have a good attention to detail. Evidence of previous basic experience of stock control & maintenance, such as stock rotation, ordering and/or receiving stock should be included in your application.

To assist in the efficient economical running of the pharmacy service by dispensing prescriptions in accordance with departmental policies and by maintaining accurate stock levels of pharmaceutical products in wards and departments, including Pharmacy.

The post includes general duties within the Pharmacy distribution service including receiving goods, carrying out ward top ups, and issuing stock to wards, carried out under the supervision of the Pharmacy Distribution Services Manager.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Research Nurse to join the Research Team at Epsom & St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who is keen to work in research.

The post holder will support a wide range of specialities across the Trust.

The post holder will be based at St Helier Hospital (Clinical Trials Unit), but may also be required to support research activity elsewhere in the Trust.

Welcome to the Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust. We offer an extensive range of services, including cancer, pathology, surgery, and gynecology to over 490,000 people in south west London and north east Surrey. We operate two busy general hospitals, Epsom Hospital and St Helier Hospital, and run services from other locations, including Sutton Hospital. St Helier Hospital is home to the South West Thames Renal and Transplantation Unit and Queen Mary's Hospital for Children, while Epsom Hospital is home to the South West London Elective Orthopaedic Centre (SWLEOC).
