Your Role – Occupational Therapist Band 6
Service Line: Male Learning Disability Service
Cygnet Manor is a high dependency complex care service for men with learning disabilities, associated complex needs and who may have behaviours that challenge.
At Cygnet Manor, we support 20 men with learning disabilities, associated complex needs who may also have behaviours that challenge in a homely and community facing environment.
When individuals come to Cygnet Manor they can often be mentally and emotionally unstable due to varying reasons. We believe that by creating a calm and inviting environment we can enhance an individual’s progress and self-esteem to help them on their care pathway towards a less restrictive setting.
Post: (Band 6) Occupational Therapist
Base: Cygnet Manor, Central Drive, Shirebrook, Nottinghamshire, NG20 8BA
Salary: £28,702
Caseload: Up to 12 patients
Responsible to: Service Manager for Line management supervision & Occupational Therapist (Band 7 or above) for professional supervision.
Hours: 30 hours, 4 days per week
Occupational Therapy Directorate
Under the leadership of our occupational therapy directors we support over 150 Occupational Therapists. Working together as a large team we provide support to each other across the group, with the opportunity to be part of specialist interest groups & become involved in service development.
Every service line has a clinical lead occupational therapist to lead and develop evidence based practice and agreed occupational therapy pathway.
We ensure our occupational therapists have a voice through participating in service model development, utilising the expertise and support of our clinical lead occupational therapists.
