Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the position of Reablement Occupational Therapist within Glasgow HSCP Care at Home Assessment Team. Reporting to the Team Leader (Reablement), you will be responsible for the provision of Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention for service users accessing Care at Home services. Role – Occupational Therapist Location – Glasgow Salary Range – £41,486.53 - £48,166.60 per annum (core salary, which also includes Working Contents and Demand payment) Hours and Shift Pattern – 35 hrs per week (8:45am to 4:45pm Monday to Thursday, 8:45am to 3:55pm Friday). This is a hybrid working role with a requirement to travel to support frontline teams across the city. The main duties and responsibilities will include the screening and management of referrals into Glasgow’s in-house HSCP Care Services. In addition, you will be responsible for the assessment, planned intervention and review of individuals, including the provision of equipment and minor adaptations. You will be expected to manage a diverse caseload with high demand and throughput. The focus of your intervention will be on functional assessment and goal setting in order to maximise and maintain independence for the service users. You will join an established and supportive team and work in partnership with the care services operations team, home carers, social care workers and the wider multi-disciplinary HSCP teams. You will be responsible for completing assessments and tailored intervention to ensure that service users’ needs are met and in line with current policy and procedures. To succeed in this role, you must be able to demonstrate working knowledge of relevant legislation, policies and procedures, in line with the Maximising Independence and Reablement Model in Glasgow. The successful applicant will have a flexible approach to service delivery and demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers and other agencies. You will be required to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team and possession of a UK Driving Licence is desirable. There is the opportunity for a flexible working pattern and hybrid working across 35 hours Monday to Friday within core hours. Applicants must possess a Degree / Diploma in Occupational Therapy and be HCPC registered. About the Role

The Medical Writer and Analyst positions are ideal for those with experience in scientific research and for enthusiastic recent graduates in the sciences who are seeking the opportunity to be part of a growing team. You will be based in our Singapore office working in our Asia-Pacific team, as well as collaborating with colleagues from our UK and US teams.

Medical Writers and Analysts work on projects involving the detailed analysis of data from clinical trials and the assimilation and creative presentation of this analysis in different formats including posters, slide sets, value dossiers, reports and peer-reviewed publications. These deliverables are used directly by our clients in communication with external stakeholders instrumental to the successful uptake of novel therapies. The work is structured on a project-by-project basis and you will usually be working on several projects in different disease areas at any one time.

You will work in project teams alongside experienced colleagues in both the Singapore UK and US offices who provide one-to-one training in the technical aspects of the role, including project management and effective client communication. Delivering project work requires close collaboration with clients and, following a successful induction period, you will increasingly engage in teleconferences and face-to-face meetings with external stakeholders.

• Market Access: Market access supports timely patient access to drugs and devices, involving the assessment of clinical efficacy and safety alongside costs to determine the value of a therapy within a specific disease area. Market access activities are targeted at a wide range of stakeholders who are instrumental to the successful funding and uptake of novel therapies, such as government bodies, payers, health technology appraisal (HTA) agencies, HCPs, and patients. Our Market Access team supports a wide range of clients in producing materials to demonstrate both the clinical and economic value of some of the newest, most innovative technologies in development. Our work is multidisciplinary, often beginning with evidence generation in the form of literature reviews, advisory boards with clinicians and payers, or economic modelling, to inform the development of materials that present an evidence-based account of the product’s value in a compelling and accessible manner.
  Analysts working across our Market Access services support a diverse range of value and access, HTA and health economics projects. These include developing product value messages and materials (e.g. brochures, slidesets, white papers, etc.), building health economic tools and models, and developing dossiers for submission to HTA agencies. A role in the Market Access division suits those who are passionate about patient access to healthcare, are fast-learners and have a strategic, problem-solving mindset. Exceptional writing skills are also essential, especially the ability to summarise complex data in a clear and creative way with high levels of attention to detail.
  
  
• Evidence Development: Evidence-based medicine is the cornerstone of medical decision-making. The work of our Evidence Development team encompasses literature reviews, synthesis and real-world evidence generation.
  
  Our literature review and synthesis projects involve the identification of clinical, economic and real-world evidence to support the value of a pharmaceutical product or medical device. Our work includes rigorous systematic literature reviews that our Statisticians often use to conduct meta-analyses and network meta-analyses, therefore Analysts in this team work together with our Statisticians to provide seamless scientific and technical support to our clients. We also work on more creative and pragmatic evidence reviews to inform clients’ strategic decisions with regard to clinical development or market access. You will gain a thorough understanding of how to conduct various kinds of evidence review from searching to interpretation of statistical results and ensuring that the reviews conform to industry guidelines where applicable. You will also be involved in writing up the methods and results of the reviews and statistical analyses into engaging reports, slide sets and often congress/journal publications.
  
  Our real-world evidence projects include the design, execution and subsequent reporting of prospective, retrospective or cross-sectional real-world studies. We develop protocols and statistical analysis plans (in collaboration with our Statisticians, Epidemiologists, clients and external experts), acquire and analyse data, and communicate the methodologies and results in both written and oral formats.

About the Role Ward 6D is an adult general medical ward with 30 beds. Of the 30 beds there are 20 double rooms with ensuite and ten single rooms which include one negative pressure room and one bariatric room-with a ceiling hoist. The medical conditions we care for include geriatrics, renal, endocrine, neuro. As an Enrolled Nurse in our medical ward, you will utilise a high standard of evidence based nursing care to plan, assess and implement care for all patients in collaboration with the patient/ family and multidisciplinary team. As an enrolled nurse, and to be successful in this role you will:

Provide a high level of clinical care and exceptional customer service to patients
Deliver safe, researched-based standards of nursing care to individuals under the direction and supervision of the RN
Work collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to support patient care needs
Administer medications according to state law and organisation policy
Act as a role model for Safe Practice

As an enrolled nurse, and to be successful in this role you will:

Current registration as an Enrolled Nurse with AHPRA
Prior experience in an acute care hospital
Minimum 1 years' experience in the acute setting.
Demonstrated practice according to evidence based nursing and latest contemporary practices in nursing
Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Intermediate computer skills
Flexibility with shift allocations, timing.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse in our Acute Medical Unit and Coronary Care Unit (CCU). Cardiac experience is desired, however training will be provided to the right candidate. Ward 4B is a 36 bed ward consisting of 6 dedicated beds for CCU and 30 high acuity medical beds with a cardiac and respiratory focus. 4B is a fast-paced and dynamic place to work with plenty of opportunity for learning and progression. The successful candidate will work within a supportive team of dedicated nurses, and multidisciplinary team, providing quality, evidenced based care. Opportunities to rotate to Cath/Intervention Lab and Intensive Care Unit have been offered previously to 4B staff for ward-based upskilling potential. Further, tertiary qualifications can be undertaken via the UTAS program, 4B/ CCU also offer dedicated Coronary Care and Cardiothoracic intensive study days (see below for a great range of other benefits).
