Project Management Work with the Band 8a lead epilepsy nurse and wider colleagues to identify where there are gaps in existing service and plan accordingly to ensure the new nursing team is allocated in the best possible way, taking into account limited resource, specific needs such as transition, learning disability and autism, medical complexity and the impact of deprivation on access to appropriate care. Provide support to ensure the delivery of safe and effective care to children and young people with epilepsy within BOB ICB. NHS Travel immunisation Perform ECGs Able to recognise and manage anaphylaxis according to current UK guidelines. Ensure infection control and cold chain guidelines are maintained. Ability to monitor and manage maintenance of stock and equipment to include refrigeration cold chain management and emergency equipment. Ensures awareness of statutory and local clinical protection procedures, including Safeguarding Children and vulnerable adults. Support the lead nurse and colleagues. Administration and professional responsibilities Participate in the administrative and professional responsibilities of the Practice team Identify changes to clinical practice that are required to implement evidence-based guidelines. Ensure accurate and contemporaneous notes of all consultations and treatments are recorded in the patient electronic records Maintain confidentiality at all times as per practice policy Ensure accurate completion of all necessary documentation associated with patient health care and registration with the Practice Ensure collection and maintenance of statistical information required for regular and ad hoc reports Attend and participate in Practice meetings as required Assist in formulation of Practice philosophy, strategy and policy Restocking and maintenance of clinical areas and consulting rooms Order and maintain safe storage of vaccines ensuring that the cold chain is maintained at all times. To assist in the delivery of the national immunisation programmes including the annual flu campaign, Meningitis ACWY and child immunisation campaigns. The Oxford Centre for Magnetic Resonance Imaging (OCMR) warmly welcomes and supports new members of staff. We are a friendly and approachable department with a strong sense of team working and high standards of care. OCMR forms part of the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine (CVM) within the Radcliffe Department of Medicine at the University of Oxford and specialises in Magnetic Resonance Imaging of the heart, liver and brain. The department has three MRI scanners; two of which are dedicated to research, a third which is used to support a diagnostic clinical cardiac MRI service for NHS patients from within the Oxford University Foundation Trust and surrounding areas. The post holder will report to the OCMR Lead Radiographer and work closely with the radiography team, as well as medical teams, reception staff, and nursing team, to meet the needs of the clinical MRI service. With training and support, the post holder will develop their skills as a senior HCA to assist with day-to-day activities within the department. Based in OCMR, the post holder will be responsible for planning and carrying out straightforward clinical activities; preparing NHS patients for MRI, carrying out magnet safety checks, cannulation and post procedural care. They will work within their given scope of practice and will follow a designated framework to achieve competency in a number of specified clinical skills. On occasions, they may be required to assist research participants undergoing MRI scans. They will complete mandatory courses as set by the University of Oxford as well as by the Oxford University Hospitals Trust (OUH), with whom the post holder will hold an honorary contract. Previous experience of working as a HCA is essential to the post. Responsibilities Liaising with patient and family and writing and coding care plan on admission and within 1 week of any hospital discharge or at annual review Weekly ward round Reviewing the list of patients sent by the care home to be seen Dealing with any acute issues and liaising with duty doctor/ EAU and families where appropriate. Chronic condition reviews (e.g. COPD, heart failure) and coding of these on the medical system Clerking new patients and updating medical record medication review and liaising with GP to review meds and deprescribe where appropriate Clinical examination of patients, and procedures as needed- e.g. bloods, catheter care Handover to care home after debrief with GP as to actions taken, and anything they need to do Structure medication review and liaising with pharmacists and GPs regarding structured medication reviews queries Liaising with operations officer regarding ensuring correct coding of activity, care plans etc. Proactive care planning and end of life care ensuring anticipatory meds have been prescribed and collected, ensuring DNAR forms and proactive care plans are completed etc. Liaising with care home support service and other support organisations (eg.
