Attend and contribute to multi-disciplinary team meetings and case discussions to inform decisions which ensure patients receive the best possible care. Develop knowledge and skills to be able to contribute in the delivery of education and learning for all those involved in palliative/end of life care, in order to act as a resource to wider professional and care teams both internally and externally. Contribute to Hospiscares clinical governance and audit process in order to support continuing quality improvement and learning. Develop advanced skills in identifying and assessing complex bereavement in order to enable a seamless handover into Hospiscares Supportive Care Services. Co-ordinate junior colleagues and take responsibility for the team in the absence of the CNS or CCTL to ensure continuity of service and welfare of patients. The wheelchair service has the unique role of treating both adults and children with a wide variety of medical conditions. Covering patients with acute and long-term conditions. You will see adults and paediatrics within the Centre in Exeter and at other locations as necessary e.g. satellite clinics, schools, secure units etc across Devon and Torbay. The Exeter Nuffield hospital is based next to the RD&E hospital in Wonford, Exeter. Exeter is a vibrant cathedral city in the heart of the beautiful county of Devon, situated on the river exe and only 10 miles from the coast. The hospital has 2 theatres, as well as a hybrid cardiac catheter laboratory/theatre and an Endoscopy suite. There are two ward areas: an inpatient area with 21 beds and a day-case ward with 12 beds.
