Qualifications needed:

· Full GMC Registration with a license to practice

· Section 12 certification, or a commitment to work towards this.

· Mastery in the management of a broad range of mental disorders in children, including neurodevelopmental disorders

At least 4 years of full-time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a part-time basis) of which at least 2 years will be in a specialty training programme in a relevant specialty or as a fixed term specialty trainee or shall have equivalent experience and competencies

You will join a substantive CAMHS Consultant, another Specialty Doctor, and a Core Trainee within the service, and will have the opportunity to influence future direction, treatment, and models of design in the area in which you work.

About NELFTs Children & Young Peoples Mental Health Services (CYPMHS) NELFTs CYPMHS is for anybody aged between 0-18, living in Kent and is free at the point of entry. The service is also for young people with special educational needs (SEN) up to the age of 25. The CAMHS Tier II and Tier III services no longer exist, replaced with an integrated CYPMHS. Structure of Children & Young Peoples Mental Health Services (CYPMHS) There is one Childrens Single Point of Access (SPA), a Neurodevelopmental & Learning Disabilities Service, six Locality Teams and a Crisis Team. These are located across North Kent (Dartford), West Kent (Maidstone & Tunbridge Wells), South Kent (Folkestone & Dover), East Kent (Thanet), Swale, Ashford and Canterbury and Coastal. What difficulties can be referred to the service? Mood and anxiety disorders Behavioural and conduct disorders Emerging personality and attachment disorders Psychotic disorders Deliberate self-harm and suicidal ideation Substance misuse with co-existing mental health needs (dual diagnosis) Autistic spectrum disorder (ASD) - with co-occurring mental health needs Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) - with co-occurring mental health needs Neurodevelopmental disorders Prolonged bereavement problems All referrals to the service are assessed using a care pathways approach, developed in line with the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence guidance criteria (NICE) and based on a best practice model of treatment. Locality Team in Children & Young Peoples Mental Health Services (CYPMHS) The aim of our new CYPMHS is to respond earlier to children and young peoples needs in order to help prevent, reduce or delay the need for more specialist interventions. This transformation of children and young peoples mental health services has a clinical focus, integrated with local authorities to deliver a long term collaborative approach to planning and delivering services. CYPMHS focuses on emotional wellbeing as well as mental health and includes access to self-help tools and services based in schools and the community. The CAMHS Tier II and Tier III service no longer exist, replaced with an integrated CYPMHS. Training and support is available to other professionals and agencies. We are creating a modern service that fits with childrens lives in a way that best suits them. Key new features include a Childrens Single Point of Access (SPA) into the service, clear early signposting, and use of digital channels such as Big White Wall to access support and services. Each locality team have care pathways. Each care pathway is clinically led, with care pathway leads operationally managing all CYPMHS practitioners working in that care pathway. With the support of the team manager, care pathway leads are responsible for assessment, treatment and systematic outcome measurement in that care pathway. CYPMHS multi-disciplinary pathway workers and mental health workers may work across more than one care pathway in a locality team. We are looking for a pharmacist to join our growing clinical pharmacy team who wants to develop their clinical skills in a variety of clinical specialities.

In this post, you will be expected to perform medicine reconciliations, screen drug charts and work alongside multi-disciplinary teams in ensuring that patients get the best care. You will be responsible for facilitating discharges safely and ensuring safe medicine provision on your ward.There will be opportunity to help manage students and trainee pharmacists develop.

Each rotation has set clinical objectives that are set by your line manager that will be reviewed at each rotation to ensure that progress is being made. Rotations include but is notexhaustive; acute, general and specialist medicine, general surgery, paediatrics/medicines info and external rotations to our local Adult and Paediatric MentalHealthServices.

Applicants must be registered with the GPhC, have good written and oral communication skills, the ability to apply evidence/guidelines to practice and be aware of their own limitations and can refer to others for advice when necessary. Time management and prioritisation are also important skills for this role.



Further to this, all foundational pharmacists are provided with a rotational role across our 3 largest hospital sites to experience these specialities in different working environments.

Alongside the extensive training received in-house, with monthly clinical education sessions in a variety of clinical topics we encourage all of our foundation pharmacists to sign up to the NHS England Newly Qualified Pharmacists programme. This training will be heavily supported by a network of educational supervisors, practice supervisors and experienced pharmacists and technicians that will all be available to support you.

An amazing new job opportunity has arisen for a Peripatetic Nurse Manager to cover 14 care homes in London, Kent, and in the South West in absence of the manager. You will be working for one of UK’s leading health care providers

As the Peripatetic Nurse Manager your key responsibilities include:
• Supporting 2 divisions and maintain regional contact for each Care home
• Conducting routine Head Office visits across care homes as directed by Divisional Directors
• Ensuring that a stimulated and caring environment is always maintained
• Overseeing and ensuring the effective delivery of the medicine administration process in line with the company care management of medicines policy
• Ensuring that attendance to both mandatory and required training courses, including that of staff members within a home, is met in order that skills, knowledge, and competency levels are maintained to carry out the role efficiently and effectively
• Supporting the Home Manager to plan and facilitate regular staff meetings: staff supervision establishing an effective communication system, ensuring that staff members are kept up to date with all current necessary information
• Providing support and assistance to staff members and ensuring that areas of responsibility are maintained and to delegate duties to staff as appropriate, ensuring implementation

The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:
• Previous experience of working with a large multi-site Care Provider within a capacity of a high-Level Manager
• Excellent knowledge of the CQC standards
• Working knowledge of Legislation and the Regulatory Framework underpinning practice in relation to the care of older people
• Flexible and willing to travel and work a variety of shifts, including the occasional weekend shifts
