Our aim is to provide a high quality informative service which supports our users. Everyone should be able to easily access our services to support healthier relationships and sexual wellbeing throughout life. The post holder will provide an efficient and effective patient focused secretarial and administrative service to the Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP), psychosexual, contraception and genitourinary doctors and practitioners. Working in a fast paced clinical environment and as part of a small, dynamic team, the post holder will report to the Team Leader. The post holder will also be responsible for setting high standards of patient care by enacting the Trust’s values at all times.
-To liaise with and act as a point of contact for clinical and non-clinical staff via telephone and email, as required by the line manager
-To act as a point of contact for patients, relatives and carers.
- Maintain and update all patients’ referral to treatment pathways, including outpatient clinic outcomes, results tracking, and other associated documentation
-Escalate patient queries, capacity problems and general issues to the role’s line manager or relevant clinical staff as appropriate
-Checking and sorting investigation reports and passing information on to clinical team as required
-Ensuring speciality specific documentation is completed and filed appropriately
- To carry out associated clerical duties, for example maintaining accurate filing systems, receiving post, diary management and scanning patient notes if required
-Attend appropriate meetings as required by the role’s line manager
- Arrange training and contracts for Diploma in Faculty of Sexual & Reproductive Healthcare (DFSRH) and LoC (Letter of Competence) for clinicians
