Hours Full-time and part-time roles are available (35 hours, 23 hours, 17.5 hours, or 14 hours per week). 50% of hours after 6pm Monday-Thursday and/or Friday 9am-12pm Salary £15,340.92 - £42,461.48 depending on hours Annual leave For a full-time appointment: 25 days per annum, plus public holidays and the period between 27 December and 1 January (three days) Pension scheme Auto-enrolment in Relates pension scheme Overall purpose To deliver and evaluate high quality, effective, and professional psychosexual therapy services to Relate clients. Key activities 1. Adhere to the codes of ethics and practice adopted by Relate and relevant Counselling Professional Bodies. 2. Be aware of and adhere to all Relate policies and practices, including Child Protection and Confidentiality, to ensure the safety of clients and staff. 3. To maintain confidential records according to the data protection regulations and Relate procedures. 4. To maintain and deliver records to enable Relate to effectively monitor the service's use and client feedback within agreed timescales. 5. To participate in individual and therapist (clinical) supervision and team meetings as required. 6. To take responsibility for professional development and training as agreed with Supervisor and line management to maintain your professional status and to meet business development needs. 7. To work collaboratively with the Federation to ensure the psychosexual therapy services are delivered in a coordinated, professional, and efficient manner. 8. Positively and proactively undertake other duties as required by your line manager that are appropriate to the position. Key skills and competencies Candidates must be able to demonstrate: They have a recognised counselling qualification COSRT accredited course plus relationship training from Relate or equivalent (see APEL section of Relate website) Substantive knowledge and experience in implementing assessment, history taking, and formulation plus in-depth knowledge of relevant treatment programs allied to sexual dysfunctions. Willingness to undertake additional training and CPD (Continuous Professional Development) as required by the service Recognised supervised couple counselling practice and/or certificate of proficiency. Experience of working with a range of counselling theories and methodologies. Experience of working within the voluntary sector Experience in assessing client needs and negotiating fees and/or signposting to appropriate provision Skills, abilities and Knowledge Professional and positive approach to work Able to think creatively to support the development of the services offered. Adaptable to changing work environments and able to work flexibility including evenings, weekends, and at locations to suit business needs (Minimum of 4 unsocial hours). Able to work with tact, diplomacy, and compassion. Reliable and punctual. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Desirable Certificates of attendance for the core CPD requirements (safeguarding, DVA, mental health and suicide). These become mandatory on appointment. Experience of providing therapy through a range of delivery methods such as face to face, individual, group, online, etc. Experience of working therapeutically with adults from a range of backgrounds and needs, especially those who may be socially excluded. Maintain accurate and appropriate records and store confidentially.
