This position serves as a VISN 22 Veterans Transportation Program Manager within the VISN Office. Provides management, support, and required oversight to assist VA transportation providers and key business staff to medical centers across the VISN. The position manages the VISN VTP including Veterans Transportation Service, Beneficiary Travel, the Highly Rural Transportation Grant Programs.

Major duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Participates in national VTP Surveys, reviews, studies and manages the VISN participation in such surveys/studies, as well as managing VISN surveys which produce data used to adopt new policies or change existing policy to improve operations and compliance with regulations to achieve higher efficiencies of operation.
• Oversees management of the overall operations of the VTS Program at all the Medical Centers within the VISN.
• Monitors and ensures adherence to VTS, BT, and VHA policy; monitors and ensures sites report metrics accurately and timely; and monitors and communicates with sites regarding obligation of VTS funds.
• The VISN VTP Manager ensures compliance is achieved VISN-wide through periodic program review and communicates directly with VTP Program Office Compliance staff on discrepancies in Improper Payments Elimination & Recovery Improvement Act (IPERA), OIG, and GAO review/missing information.
• Responsible for ensuring implementation of audit/compliance corrective action measures.
• Ensures facility VTP Managers comply in a timely and accurate manner to VTP Program Office, IPERA, OIG and GAO requests for information.
• Ensures VTS programs at the Medical Center level are appropriately engaged with the HRTG recipients to ensure proper transport of Veterans by the grant recipients, and communicates with the VTS Regional Coordinator on issue resolution requiring national attention.
• Serves as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the multi-state region of a VISN regarding veteran and patient transportation for travel. The incumbent consults with the VA Medical Center Mobility Managers and Executive Leadership, the VISN Rural Health Consultant, VISN Business Implementation Manager, and VISN Executive Leadership on issues concerning Veterans access to care and unique transportation issues. As the VISN SME, the VISN VTP Manager provides direct consultation and problem resolution to facilities.
• Works with VISN leadership to establish goals and general policy regarding patient transportation regarding policy for inter-facility transfers, Special Mode Transports, Air Ambulance etc., to ensure compliance with national program policy, as well as the most efficient and patient friendly means of transport are achieved while ensuring expedited transport resulting in improved patient care and improved patient flow within and between VISN facilities.
• Prepares reports, memoranda, and correspondence pertaining to various Veteran transportation issues; presents research findings and recommendations to VTS and MS leadership.
• Provides Train-the-Trainer activities for the VTS program at the Medical Centers during program implementation and provides constant support for day to day operations.
• Employs fact-finding and investigative techniques to gather clear-cut factual answers to questions from VTS field operations.

• Provide project management support which includes project planning, control, reporting, risk management, scheduling, tracking, variance analysis and administrative support throughout the life cycle.
• Plan actions to evaluate, coordinate, document, and obtain approval or disapproval, and implementation of project actions in support of the Acquisition Management Project Director to extend and relieve him/her of responsibilities.
• Perform cost benefit studies of new or modified systems and the actions necessary for their development to ensure that the enterprise captures the total cost of all actions necessary for systems development or modification.
• Perform configuration management to include planning, change control, Configuration Control Board coordination and support and documentation.
• Document project activities and associated dates and resources, dependencies among activities, with indication of deliverable due dates and project milestones.
• Conduct IT project feasibility and scope analysis using as input a customer supplied functional requirement or equivalent.

Main Duties Lead nursing input into the project. Work as a registered Nurse within the Trust as and when suitable for the project. Manage own workload in order to support the clinical information needs that enable the Trust to achieve goals described in the Medicines Optimisation strategy. Act as the Trust appointed Lead Nurse for the ePMA project. Advocate on behalf of and represent the project at relevant nursing meetings. Provide training to clinical end users as the ePMA systems is prepared to go live in their areas. Enable clinical end users to adopt ePMA into agreed work flows by providing go live support. Maintain the ePMA system providing nursing input throughout the life of the system. Provide specialist support for the system out of hours to Consultants and their Teams, Nursing staff, Midwifery staff, Pharmacy staff and health professionals where appropriate. Be flexible and reliable, particularly during system implementation phases when training and supporting staff (working hours will include late shifts, night duties and weekends). To ensure requirements are considered and include the needs of all clinical professionals, work closely with Nurses, Midwives, Doctors, HCAs and AHPs to gather and understand their and the patients needs. Lead nursing input into the implementation and roll-out of the ePMA project across the Trust, under the guidance of the Lead Pharmacist and relevant Project Boards. Enable better and more efficient care through the development of future state process by understanding the ePMA system and existing paper based workflows. Propose options and provide expert recommendations pertaining to implementation of the ePMA system by assessing and judging complex facts, processes and protocols. Demonstrate individual system expertise in order to be capable of supporting the configuration and testing of the ePMA system and including but not limited to other systems within the remit of the Clinical Systems Team. Analyse, interpret and compare system functionalities and working process options in order to determine the best fit for system implementation. Regularly provide ePMA system training to Nurses, Midwives, Doctors, Healthcare Assistants and Allied Health Professionals. Supervise colleagues and receiving and undertaking training and testing to ensure quality related quotas and deadlines are met adequately. Participate in the development and planning of relevant ePMA user training programmes. Provide clinical expertise, skills and agility to systematically address the effectiveness of care through the transformation of services, which will ultimately improve patient care and experience. Undertake service improvement whilst working in Wards, Departments and Community Teams as required to support individual Nurses, Midwives, Doctors, Healthcare Assistants and Allied Health Professionals. We are a small family friendly team looking for an experienced health care assistant to join our team here at Marathon Court. Day to day duties will includes personal care of our residents, assisting with meals and drinks, maintaining accurate and factual records following care, promoting independence where possible, escorting residents to appointments, assisting them to take part in activities and maintaining their relationships and contact between them and their relatives. You will be required to work a variety of shifts which will include nights at times. (Unless nights are a preferred option). Shifts are 7am - 2pm, 1pm - 8pm. This role is physically demanding but also provides the opportunity to learn and grow and ensure that our residents are provided with a high standard of person-centred care. A full induction programme will be provided upon commencement of employment. You will also be supported to complete your care certificate or QCF Level 3.
