Key Result Areas Whilst the organisation and structure within specialities/divisions may vary the specific remit of this role will include: Transcription Typing correspondence to patients, GPs, medical staff and any other required addressee following clinical attendance. Outcomes, Results and Clinics Tracking of results/ appointments and highlighting to the clinical team members any results, correspondence or patient queries that need response and taking action e.g. booking investigations, transcription, etc, to ensure that RTT guidelines are achieved for patients. Specialty Specific Support Providing a comprehensive secretarial support to the consultant surgeons whilst being the first point of call for patients, GPs, family members and other professional colleagues and organisations. Regularly informing the Secretary Supervisor about progress and flagging up as a matter of urgency any issues, for example, capacity or delays due to internal or external factors, difficult queries from patients, etc Liaising with external organisations for the benefit and progress of patient care, such as Social Services, other hospitals, etc Service Improvement Support the development of improvements to working practices and processes and contribute to service reviews and the implementation of new arrangements. As directed, support the resolution of complaints or concerns from patients/carers by helping to collate information and work with the supervisor to respond or escalate appropriately. Team-working To work cohesively with the Secretary Supervisor to ensure that administrative work is shared out equally and performed to excellent, efficient and safe standards To cover colleagues during absences/annual/sick leave as directed. You may also be required to undertake job rotation for cross cover as well as for development and training purposes. Undertaking routine office duties including electronic note tracking, photocopying and filing of correspondence and results and maintenance of records. The post holder will lead on the review, design, programme management and commissioning of children and young peoples mental health services to ensure that Gloucestershires population experience seamless pathways of care and quality services that improve outcomes. The post holder will lead on programme managing the overall childrens mental health programme and lead on delivering major programmes of work and elements of programmes as directed by the Deputy Director of Integrated Commissioning. Currently major areas of work include: Children and Young Peoples Mental Health CAMHS Transformation programme including waiting list initiatives and recovery planning. The roll out and expansion of the Young Minds Matter service/Mental Health Support Teams. Lead elements of work relating to how children and young peoples mental health services interface with other areas of provision e.g. primary care, education and inclusion and acute care. Oversee the social prescribing and creative health provision for children and young people in relation to mental health support. Oversee Perinatal and Infant Mental Health services including developing a Parent Infant Relationship Service (PAIRS) These plans will be delivered in the context of national guidance, local engagement and needs and the overarching organisational strategy and will use the ICB transformation approach to support delivery. The post holder will work closely with Integrated Care System partners such as ICB GP members, social care colleagues, clinicians across the health community, and staff from other organisations. As a Head and Neck Clinical Nurse Specialist you will be completing nurse led assessments of patient needs and coordinating patients ongoing journey from point of referral at time of diagnosis and beyond. You will be an advocate for the patient to ensure their choices and decisions are being followed and respected. You will provide emotional support for patients and their carers/relatives during their treatment and care.You will be involved in working collaboratively, in partnership with the multidisciplinary team, to develop and advise highly specialised programme of care for patients. As a Clinical Nurse Specialist you will need to maintain ongoing professional development to ensure you are following current evidence based guidelines, policies and procedures for patient care.
