You'll be a natural leader who has acted as a clinical mentor, including supporting newly qualified nurses through their preceptorship. The Head of Mental Health, Learning Disabilities & Autism is responsible for leading the operational and strategic delivery of MHLDA for Tameside ICS and as part of NHSGM. Key responsibilities include: System leader and role model on MHLDA and provide leadership across organisational and professional boundaries to facilitate transformational change in Tameside. Work with the MH & LD clinical lead for mental health to lead the further development and delivery of the mental health strategy, ensuring the full engagement of all stakeholders in the delivery of national policy and guidelines and local priorities, ensuring people with lived experience are engaged in co-production at all times. Drive forward the whole system transformation to ensure coherence across the portfolio, from needs assessment, service design, procurement, performance management and outcome measurement in line with the NHS Long Term Plan Develop and deliver the mental health elements of the Corporate Lead and deliver the Living Well Transformation Programme to deliver a radical redesign to how people with mental health needs receive support and care. Work with colleagues in Tameside LA and ensure good strategic fit between all Fully engages in the strategic developments across Greater Manchester and ensure local developments connect to maximise resources to meet the needs of the local Drive forward developments in services for people with learning disability and/or autism in line with national and Greater Manchester priorities, including adults and children and young people Lead the mental health service redesign Support the whole Tameside locality team as a key senior leader in the locality structure. Be a member of the on-call rota for the Tameside ICB locality
