We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, dynamic, and hard-working Ward manager to lead and manage the multi-disciplinary team to promote a high standard of patient care on our 14 bedded National Deaf Adult inpatient ward: Bluebell ward. The team manager would liaise with referring teams nationally and ensure protection and promotion of the deaf culture within the deaf community, the organisation, and its allies.

He/she will be a highly skilled and well-motivated individual with considerable experience of working in a dynamic mental health service.

The post holder will be responsible for implementing and monitoring all policies and ensures that the ward functions in line with the Trust quality standard. The post holder will also ensure that supervision and appraisal systems are robustly implemented and that the care provided is of the highest possible standard in line with the service’s clinical governance framework. The Ward Manager is ultimately responsible for providing a safe environment within which all staff can deliver care and support to patients and their significant others. Experienced in British sign language is desirable but not essential, but you must have experience of working in a health & social care environment.

We are recruiting a Medical Devices Project Manager, who will be instrumental in the acquisition of medical technology across the Trust.

You will be pivotal to our ability to provide safe care to patients, by ensuring that our medical equipment is safe, appropriate, innovative, sustainable and always available.

You should have a degree in a relevant clinical, scientific or technical subject, with experience in the management of medical devices. Project management qualifications are not required.

This role is particularly suitable for recent graduates from the Scientist Training Programme. We will also consider applicants with medical, nursing and AHP backgrounds.

Your role will be to manage the acquisition of medical equipment, which involves working with clinicians of all levels to ensure needs are met, and with procurement, finance and estates teams to deliver solutions and minimise risk.

You must be prepared to undertakeliterature reviewsand laboratory evaluations to gain an in-depth understanding of the benefits and risks of the technology being considered, as well as to identify the best option from competing manufacturers.

You will get to work with, and gain the trust of, hundreds of different people across the organisation. Excellent negotiation and influencing skills will help you, both when working with colleagues and getting good deals from suppliers.

The applicant will be based at the St George’s Hospital main campus in London, with other members of the Medical Devices Project Management team.

We have exciting opportunity within Clinical Haematology Departmentfor an enthusiastic and dynamic Band 5Team Leaderto support the day-to-day operational management of the Administration team.


The post-holder will be proactive in the management and co-ordination of service issues within the Department as required. They will also be responsible for the management of several key areas pertinent to the Centers reporting, including outpatient activity and recording. The post holder will be required to provide a comprehensive administration and service coordinator role to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the Clinical Hematology and Anti Coag administration service daily. They will assist the Service Manager to ensure sure key performance; quality targets are met, and that the service is developed as per Directorate plans.
