Senior Environmental Health Officer needed in Belfast, £23.55ph PAYE - Reference: OR2360

Summary of responsibilities and personal duties

1. Directly supervise all allocated operational professional and technical staff including the provision of advice, support, training and guidance and ensure the necessary high standards of service delivery are maintained.

2. Support and assist the appropriate manager in the supervision of staff to include assisting with new staff inductions, delivering training; organising and allocating work; reviewing the quality and progress of work and identifying corrective actions; managing service cover arrangements, leave requests, and time and attendance/absences.

3. To carry out the full range of enforcement, investigative, educational, and advisory duties associated with the responsibilities of any area of work to which the postholder is assigned, in accordance with the relevant work programmes and as required by the appropriate manager.

4. Contribute to the achievement of client and departmental objectives and participate in departmental and client-wide project teams as directed by the appropriate manager.

5. Proactively liaise with and work in partnership with other organisations (public, private, voluntary and community) to enhance the achievement of client, departmental, service and unit objectives.

6. Carry out project work as directed by the appropriate manager.

7. Participate in internal and external communication activities, including media engagements, as required.

8. Be responsible for organising personal daily work demands to ensure that all relevant agreed targets are achieved to ensure that a quality, customer focused city protection service is delivered.

9. Compile and provide such reports, records, statistical information, and responses to consultations by internal and external bodies as requested by the appropriate manager.

10. Formulate, develop and review procedures and guidance notes for use by other staff and for the effective delivery of services.

This is a full time role on a temporary contract basis.

What Application Development & Maintenance contributes to Cardinal Health

Application Development & Maintenance performs configuration or coding to develop, enhance and sustain the organization's software systems in a cross-functional team environment through adherence to established design control processes and good engineering practices. This job family programs and configures end user applications, systems, databases and websites to achieve the organization's internal needs and externally-facing business needs. Application Development & Maintenance partners with business leaders, investigates user needs and conducts regular assessments, maintenance and enhancements of existing applications.
 

Responsibilities

• This person will have accountability for the Procure to Pay (PTP) functions of Pharma business segment. It will also include supplier reporting via EDI852/EDI867 and similar reporting for non-EDI suppliers.
• Provide leadership in planning/sequencing of end-to-end design workshops and support facilitation of workshops, leveraging knowledge of industry best practices and application of global SAP implementation experience.
• Complies and enforce adoption of Solution Manager, Charm Management, JIRA, and other standard tools.
• Provide leadership and direction to the teams during problem solving and crisis management.
• Identify gaps between requirements and current solution and develop options and estimates for closing the gaps.
• Effectively communicate with IT partners and business stakeholders
• Collaborate with onsite and offshore teams to manage the execution of Software Delivery deliverables.
• Ensure all critical PTP processes are properly monitored and alerted; and automate recurring incidents.
• Provide support in preparing and conducting prioritization meetings (for enhancements and defects) with the various functional partners.
• Provide functional expertise, guidance, presentation, and instruction to stakeholders.
• Have an enterprise perspective and help others to understand broad implications of decision making.
• Demonstrate excellent oral and written communications, presentation skills, meeting facilitation, negotiation, decision making, and problem-solving skills to deliver solutions.
• Ability to convert technical/functional specifications into test scenarios and test scripts.
• Accountable for IT Controls, SOX compliance, and Audit findings on the SAP Pharma Platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent work experience, preferred.
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in related field, preferred.
• Functional expertise in the areas of Procure to Pay (PTP) and Supplier EDI reporting using EDI852/EDI867 preferred
• Experience in designing solutions in SAP and configuring SAP MM, LE and SAP SD module preferred
• Experience in implementing SAP in large scale implementations preferred
• Strong configuration experience in SAP MM and SD Module to support the following functions – Purchasing, Master data, Pricing, Inventory management, Accounts payable, Outbound deliveries to WMS, Goods Receipt, Supplier Returns, Receiving, ASN, IDOC, Supplier EDI, 3PL preferred
• Strong integration skills with SAP modules SD, MM, FI and with external ERP systems preferred
• Hands on experience gathering requirements and creating functional specs preferred
• Proficiency with ASAP (Accelerated SAP) Waterfall and Agile methodologies preferred.
• Ability to navigate through the SDLC process preferred
• Strong SAP integration experience with EDI, WMS , Non SAP systems is preferred.
