(Main duties of the job cont.) Expertise in clinical skills, including: Wound management, ECGs; responding to NEWS2 scores escalating appropriately, management of acutely unwell patients, recognising sepsis; admitting patients from clinic to ward for surgery, liasing with the trauma co-ordinator, managing nursing team and plaster technicians, conflict management skills; cognitive assessments, and dynamic patient risk assessments Act as an effective role model promoting excellence through practice Confidence in supervising junior members of the team and having the ability to bring out the best in all staff. Being approachable and helpful and providing staff a voice and a platform to provide feedback You must have the initiative to adapt to the changing demands of the service and be able to positively contribute to the development of service provision. Ability to cover the department and provide reasonable flexibility in terms of hours worked, including varying shift patterns across operational hours will be expected. The successful candidate will be required to deputise for the Outpatient Sister in her absence and also provide support.
