Here at Sugarman Health & Wellbeing are looking for 2 unique individual to support with the difficult task of changing the bandages of our 15 year male client who suffers from a chronic skin condition called Epidermolysis bullosa (EB).
The client has bandages over the majority of his body, covering open wounds and blisters which require specific care to avoid infection. This is an extremely painful procedure and the client has specific pain medication prescribed to help with this. There will also always be a carer present who knows the client well to provide him with emotional support and reassurance throughout the process.
This task is currently completed 7 days a week by his Dad who understandably finds it very difficult and, now his son is older would like to be able to train up someone else to support with this task.
You must be a non-smoker.

- Hourly Rate: £20ph
- Shifts: 2pm - 6pm

You would become an essential part of the existing care team in this fulfilling and rewarding role.
Theory and practical training will be provided to ensure you have the correct skills to support this individual. This is an amazing opportunity in order to learn and expand your knowledge with new skills, to help develop your career and experience exciting new opportunities.
What we are looking for?
- someone who is committed long term as training could take up to 6 months before the person is confident in doing this task alone.
- someone who is able to focus on the task at hand and remain detached from their feelings and emotions. (possibly from military or forces?)
- Two people able to do 1400-1800 3 days a week each - these days are flexible.
- You do not have to have previous experience in care or the medical field but you must be willing to complete any necessary training for the role.
- Due to the nature of the task and the short shifts the pay rate for this will be £20 p/h

Requirements:
- Preferable A minimum of 6 months professional care experience
- The right to work in the UK and have the correct documentation for this
- A full enhanced DBS
- An up to date CV with full working history
