Babcock Corporate Services (BCS) is a global function, which supplies and operates all IT, Security, Procurement, and Finance Shared Services. We are embedded alongside the operations that we serve, enabling us to maintain close working relationships which support delivery to our customers
The role
As a Safety, Health and Environmental Protection Assistant, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll support to the senior leaders in all aspects of safety to ensure people go home safely every day.
Day to day, you'll support the development of SH&EP documentation for Corporate Services, including Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work
- Coordination of SH&EP training including H&S Induction, Fire training and DSE for personnel within Corporate Services
- Liaise with Corporate Services personnel to ensure understanding of, and compliance with SH&EP requirements
- Support the management of SH&EP incidents, accidents and near misses that involve Corporate Services
- Ensure review dates are communicated and achieved for all processes that are timebound
This is full time role; this position covers the whole of Babcock. Agile working but will be required to do site visits as required by business (must be flexible to travel around once per month)
Essential experience of the Safety, Health and Environmental Protection Assistant
- Must have a proven track record of administration ideally with knowledge of UK Health and Safety requirements
- A positive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills and drive improved safety culture
- Good organisational skills in both individual and team situations
- Good computer skills
Qualifications for the Safety, Health and Environmental Protection Assistant
The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance for this role.
