The Program Assistant serves as the resource person for intermediate level data analysis and administrative leadership and coordination in the development, implementation, evaluation, interpretation, revision, and when necessary, corrective actions for many applicable administrative functions, activities, operations and services for the Office of Chief of Staff.

• Performs cost analysis of expenditures and advises the SNCOS and the COS for the special projects and programs for any additional funding requirement.
• Monitors consultant costs and utilization for all clinical services in coordination with Fiscal Service.

Starting at $51,568 Per Year (GS 6)

Primary responsibilities of this Nursing Assistant position will be as a safety monitor for up to four patients based on clinical needs. Assignments may consist of float coverage to areas of 24/7 operations.

Major duties include but are not limited to:

• Participates in the admission, transfer, and discharge of Veterans.
• Performs EKGs and other clinical and technical procedures as assigned.
• Performs activities of daily living with or for Veterans including toileting, feeding, bathing, turning and positioning, etc.
• Escorts Veterans for procedures, post surgery, and other needs.
• Closely monitors Veterans who are in need of continuous monitoring for various reasons.
• Interacts closely with Veterans and their families.
• Works on multiple units including medical, surgical, intensive care, emergency room, and psychiatric care.
• Partners with staff to ensure Veteran safety.

Work Schedule: Full time, 11:30pm - 8:00am with rotating holidays and weekends. Schedule may be adjusted to support the needs of the Medical Center.
