Lifecycle Management

Participates in facility and VISN strategic planning, quality management of the equipment program, equipment replacement planning on a progressive basis, integrated with management budgetary plans and consistent with life expectancy of equipment. Utilizes performance improvement methodologies such as lean and six/sigma to improve the overall management of NX assets in the VA HCS and supported catchment area. Supply Management - Inventory Management & Control
Oversees the management and control of non-expendable equipment for a VA Healthcare System (VA HCS) and supported catchment area. Oversees the inventory management of all NX assets throughout the VA HCS. The Material Management Section provides full Logistics and supply chain support of preplanning, preparation and equipment purchases; related supply management: and delivery services for the VA HCS and surrounding catchment area. Implements and monitors automated NX inventory management systems, including equipment accountability and data integrity. Analyzes, studies, develops, and directs systems in connection with the NX requirements in the medical center's annual budget development. Equipment accountability responsibilities may require site reviews throughout the VA HCS catchment area.
Implements best practices, principles, tools and concepts to evaluate and improve supply system performance.
