This is an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 role on Ward 206, the trauma admission ward within Trauma and Orthopaedics.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our management team, who possesses excellent communication and leadership skills, and promotes excellent quality of care, whilst supporting junior staff on the ward to do the same. The role will entail working weekends, bank holidays and nights to provide unit bleep cover.
The ideal applicant will have demonstrable experience within Trauma and Orthopaedics and ideally have experience working with orthopaedic trauma patients , pre and post op care , assessment of patients and complex discharge planning.
The successful applicant will show evidence of service improvement or innovation
You will have the full support of the management team and your peers, enabling you to succeed in this role.
The majority of your role will be clinical, and you will be a clinical lead on the ward supporting and mentoring junior members of the team with your experience and knowledge.
The job will also entail all aspects of people/staff management, for example, ensuring staff wellbeing, completing appraisals, dealing with conflict and more.
You will be expected to complete, audits, rosters, reports, attend meetings and liaise with all members of the MDT as well as many other tasks.
