Reporting directly to the Quality Manager, responsibilities for the role will include:
• Ensuring that all products manufactured are within specification and meet customer requirements, driving compliance and continuous improvement.
• Ensuring all site standards meet the current BRCGS Global Standard and customer technical requirements.
• Agreeing achievable quality standards with the customer and ensuring they are maintained on an ongoing basis.
• Ensuring site hygiene standards are met and hygiene audits carried out.
• Supporting the stock controller in ensuring the technical integrity of the procurement process.
• Monitoring and auditing the effectiveness of corrective procedures relating to customer complaints.
• Helping the Quality Manager co-ordinate and prepare for third party audits.
• Being a member of the HACCP team.
Essential / Desirable skills include:
• Factory based Quality experience in a Food Manufacturer.
• Absolute passion for food safety, legality and quality.
• Working knowledge of food safety systems, HACCP, COSHH and relevant food legislation.
• Experience working with Quality and Production Teams in all aspects of technical standards.
• BRCGS Food Safety & Consumer Products experience an advantage.
• Previous working knowledge of major retailer supplier portals is desirable.
• Strong communication skills, liaising with internal and external contacts.
• Experience raising non-conformances, completing Root Cause Analysis, and implementing corrective actions.
• Proficient in Microsoft packages - Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Permanent role!
Working Monday to Friday.
Completing around 40 hours.
The salary for this site-based role is £30k per annum dependent upon experience.
