The teams are formed of senior staff with clinical and operational backgrounds. They have a focus on improving the care and experience of patients and staff, translating policy into improvement activity, working alongside frontline teams and their management structures.

Clinical leadership is integral to the group, with clinical leaders embedded within the teams. The medical director works alongside the director of the EECI group, providing leadership and strategic direction of the group as part of the group senior leadership team. The medical director has a close working relationship with, and is professionally accountable to, the national clinical director for UEC. The role involves interfaces with a range of NHSE teams as well as external bodies.

School Healthcare Assistant will provide a mixture of general and specific care to a group of children in primary, secondary schools and other community settings under the guidance and supervision of a School Health Nurse or Henry Programme Lead. The post holder will be expected to become proficient and competent in their area of practice by undertaking competency assessments specific to the area of clinical practice. The School Healthcare Assistant will promote optimum independence and individualised child focussed care that will support the delivery of the healthy child programme and Healthy weight Programme (Henry). The post holder will be responsible for supporting the Henry Programme School entry screening programme, including the National Child Measuring Programme (NCMP) and undertake vision and audiology screening using the School Screener Computer Software.
