About the Role

The Medical Writer and Analyst positions are ideal for those with experience in scientific research and for enthusiastic recent graduates in the sciences who are seeking the opportunity to be part of a growing team. You will be based in our Singapore office working in our Asia-Pacific team, as well as collaborating with colleagues from our UK and US teams.

Medical Writers and Analysts work on projects involving the detailed analysis of data from clinical trials and the assimilation and creative presentation of this analysis in different formats including posters, slide sets, value dossiers, reports and peer-reviewed publications. • Market Access: Market access supports timely patient access to drugs and devices, involving the assessment of clinical efficacy and safety alongside costs to determine the value of a therapy within a specific disease area. Market access activities are targeted at a wide range of stakeholders who are instrumental to the successful funding and uptake of novel therapies, such as government bodies, payers, health technology appraisal (HTA) agencies, HCPs, and patients. Our Market Access team supports a wide range of clients in producing materials to demonstrate both the clinical and economic value of some of the newest, most innovative technologies in development. Our work is multidisciplinary, often beginning with evidence generation in the form of literature reviews, advisory boards with clinicians and payers, or economic modelling, to inform the development of materials that present an evidence-based account of the product’s value in a compelling and accessible manner.
  Analysts working across our Market Access services support a diverse range of value and access, HTA and health economics projects. These include developing product value messages and materials (e.g. brochures, slidesets, white papers, etc.), building health economic tools and models, and developing dossiers for submission to HTA agencies.   Our literature review and synthesis projects involve the identification of clinical, economic and real-world evidence to support the value of a pharmaceutical product or medical device. Our work includes rigorous systematic literature reviews that our Statisticians often use to conduct meta-analyses and network meta-analyses, therefore Analysts in this team work together with our Statisticians to provide seamless scientific and technical support to our clients. We also work on more creative and pragmatic evidence reviews to inform clients’ strategic decisions with regard to clinical development or market access. You will gain a thorough understanding of how to conduct various kinds of evidence review from searching to interpretation of statistical results and ensuring that the reviews conform to industry guidelines where applicable. You will also be involved in writing up the methods and results of the reviews and statistical analyses into engaging reports, slide sets and often congress/journal publications.

The Role

This role is in the Middle Office (MO) team. The Associate, Health & Benefits – Placement Team will primarily be required to support Section Team Lead in placement activities with a focus on new business placement. Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day lab operations, ensuring equipment and supplies are available.
• Keep accurate records of lab activities and ensure compliance with regulations (e.g., FDA, GMP).
• Support lab staff with scheduling, document management, and coordinating meetings or training.
• Handle inventory management, ordering supplies, and coordinating with vendors.
• Ensure the lab follows health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Arrange equipment calibration and repairs to keep lab instruments in working order.
• Help prepare for audits and regulatory inspections by keeping documentation up to date.
• Serve as the main contact for vendors and service providers.

Qualifications:

• Diploma in Chemistry, Life sciences or related field (preferred).
• Experience in lab administration, preferably in a pharmaceutical or biotech QC setting
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Familiar with lab software and office tools (MS Office, etc.).
• Knowledge of lab safety standards and regulations (GMP, GLP).
• Good communication skills and ability to work with teams.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

The Royal Marsden Hospital has implemented a new Epic Digital Health Record System (DHR) in the last 18 months. From quicker access to patient records, to improved availability of documentation, and a patient portal, the new system is significantly improving patient outcomes, safety and experience. It also gives us more access to accurate real-time health information at our fingertips, which will enhance our existing life-saving research capabilities.
We are now in the post-implementation, optimisation phase of the programme, developing the system even further, guided by the priorities set by the clinical services we support.
This is an exciting time to join the team and to gain further skills. As DHR Junior Configuration Analyst in the OpTime/Anaesthesia Application Team, you will be responsible for ensuring the system is configured to meet new ‘best practice’ ways of working.
You will work towards becoming an expert in the application area, troubleshoot problems and address questions from end users regarding the application. You will also be expected to work with the testing team and ensure any testing activity is completed, tracked and is consistent with published timescales.
Excellent organisational, planning and interpersonal skills are necessary, as you will be responsible for negotiating and persuading senior Trust staff to accept changes to working practices which will improve efficiency, patient flow and/or patient experience.



Additionally, much of this work requires close collaborative and co-ordinated working with colleagues across the Trust, including other Applications in the DHR team, our partners at GOSH and with our DHR supplier Epic.
If necessary, you must be prepared to undertake training (in the UK and overseas) and, within five months of start date, become qualified in at least one of the OpTime or Anaesthesia Epic applications.
Post-pandemic our team will continue to work flexibly with a combination of remote and office based working days.
We will provide an opportunity for you to undertake an aptitude test as the first stage of the application process. The test is a great way to ensure you would be successful in passing the Epic Certification and excel in this role.

As an EPR Junior Configuration Analyst the post holder is responsible for:
• Assisting with the delivery of the Trust’s electronic patient record (EPR) system within a designated team
• Gaining an EPR qualification through successfully completing the EPR training programme within a specified timeframe
• Working in partnership with our partners, Great Ormond Street Hospital and Epic
• Under supervision, matching agreed workflows with those already built into the EPR system and/or configuring the EPR system using configuration tools to tailor the system
• Analysing and suggesting ways to improve current workflows and working practices

• Analyse and document routine clinical and administrative workflows, information, data collection and/or reporting requirements.
• Investigate end users’ preferences and populate databases as part of the configuration process.
• Become an expert in the application area, learn to troubleshoot problems and address questions from end users regarding the application.
• Ensure that the EPR system is configured to meet new ‘best practice’ ways of working, in order to achieve cost-saving benefits and improved workflow processes, whilst working to relevant legal and regulatory frameworks and seeking assistance from the Senior Configuration Analyst or Configuration Manager when required.
• Log issues as they arise and update administration systems accordingly. Liaise with colleagues and the supplier to achieve resolution and escalate unresolved issues through the Senior Configuration Analyst or Configuration Manager as appropriate.

Role purpose:

The on-site analyst role is to ensure the proper functioning of personal computing and office technology so that end users can most efficiently and effectively accomplish business tasks. This includes receiving, prioritizing, documenting, and actively resolving customer requests and escalations from the Global Service Desk. Problem resolution will involve the use of incident management tools, as well as hands-on support at the on-site level.

Responsibilities:

· Perform hands-on fixes, including installing and upgrading software, installing hardware, managing mobile devices, implementing file backups, and configuring applications.

· Owns and drives issues to resolution including escalation to specialized resources within the broader IT organization. Remains engaged on issues until resolution.

· Provide Tier 2 technical support for client facilities such as video conferencing and audio conferencing services.

· Lead, coordinate and participate in improvements as they relate to the on-site IT environment.

· Serves as an advocate for the organization’s information security management system. Assists customers to work efficiently within the ISMS framework.

· Test fixes to ensure problems have been adequately resolved.

· Perform post-resolution follow-ups to customer requests.

· Evaluate documented resolutions and analyse trends for ways to prevent future problems.

· Field incoming requests from customers via both telephone and e-mail in a courteous manner.
