As a Systems Architect for Digital Health Technology Integrations, you will play a pivotal role in the implementation of Digital Health data exchange foundational services on edge and cloud, while ensuring security, scalability, compliance and performance. The Systems Architect must possess a deep understanding of edge computing, cloud technologies, health data exchange protocols, and security measures to effectively implement robust and reliable data exchange services.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead efforts collaborating with a cross-functional team in designing, configuring, and implementing digital data exchange solutions using integration platforms like CloverLeaf, Rhapsody, Mirth Connect, or similar technologies to support various data exchange protocols and standards used in healthcare, such as HL7, FHIR, DICOM etc.
- Implement adapters, connectors, and interfaces to integrate with electronic health record (EHR) systems, picture archiving and communication systems (PACS), and other 3rd party devices and systems at customer sites.
- Design and deliver seamless orchestration of services across customer integrations, IoT services, enterprise IT integrations, and the facilitation of smooth communication and secure data exchange across system boundaries (edge, Cloud etc.). Implementing data routing and orchestration mechanisms to ensure reliable and fault-tolerant data exchange workflows.
- Ability to design scalable and extensible architectures for digital data exchange, accommodating the integration needs of diverse healthcare systems and applications.
- Collaborative with R&D, IT and Digital Health teams to build robust digital dataflow pipelines that serve various purposes including data lake management, data analytics, R&D analytics, and supporting digital applications and workflows.
- Ensure scalability, reliability, and security of the integration platform to support the growing needs of the digital health ecosystem. Implement monitoring and optimization strategies to ensure the efficiency and accuracy of digital integrations and data pipelines.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather feedback, provide updates, and ensure alignment with project goals and objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience of over 7 years in systems architecture, integration, and software development, preferably in the healthcare or digital health domain.
- Strong hands-on experience with healthcare data standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR) and regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA,GDPR etc.)
- Expertise in utilizing leading-edge industry solutions and technologies for integration and system architecture design.
- Strong understanding of service-oriented architecture (SOA), microservices architecture, and API design principles.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript, along with experience with relevant frameworks and technologies.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and their health data exchange and storage frameworks
- Certification or training in integration platforms like CloverLeaf, Rhapsody, Mirth Connect, or other relevant integration platforms is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex systems and design scalable and robust solutions.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Familiarity with industry best practices for software development, including Agile, DevOps, and continuous integration/continuous delivery methodologies.
