Position Title: Occupational & Environmental Health Coordinator
FLSA Status: Exempt
Reports To: Vice President and Chief Medical Officer
POSITION SUMMARY:
Administers comprehensive health education and guidance to employees to ensure safe work
practices and the minimization of occupational illness and injury. Collaborates with Human Resources, Safety Officer, Infection Preventionist, and other members of the organization on occupational and environmental health programs. Oversees and manages employee health requirements and maintains employee health records. Coordinates the return to work program for ill and injured employees. Plans, coordinates, and implements job related immunization and testing programs per hospital and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable state and federal regulations.
Starting wage: $88,862.40
The posted wage is the current starting wage for this position. Actual wage is dependent on the applicant's relevant experience and qualifications for this position. The wage range for this position may be subject to change in the future depending on a variety of factors such as market conditions, business needs, legal developments, and other appropriate factors.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Certification/Licensure:
Current State of Hawaii Registered Nurse licensure, or related medical licensure (PA, APRN, etc.).
Current BLS certification.
Completion of competencies and other job-related and REHAB requirements.
Education:
Skills/Experience:
One (1) year of acute care nursing experience.
Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
Knowledge of OSHA, CDC, TJC, DOH and other regulatory requirements.

Occupational/employee health nursing experience and/or rehabilitation nursing experience.
Experience in body mechanics, job analysis, ergonomics and ADA regulations.
Experience in post-offer and annual health evaluations, occupational/employee health which included immunizations/inoculations, and monitoring of at-risk individuals.
