Job Summary
In the Senior Manager Analytics Consulting - BI & Insights role, you'll lead a team of analysts, transforming complex business challenges into actionable insights through data analysis. You'll leverage your business acumen and analytical expertise to identify trends, solve problems, and advise business leaders on strategic direction. This leadership role also requires you to tap into external resources and subject matter experts to support cross-functional initiatives. Your strong communication skills will be essential for presenting findings to leadership and stakeholders, ensuring everyone across the organization makes data-driven decisions. Ultimately, you'll play a key role in ensuring your team's efforts align with the company's vision and drive strategic success. In this role, you will be instrumental in driving data-driven decision-making and creating BI solution products that provide meaningful value to both HCSC and its customers. Your expertise in BI solutions, strong communication skills, and ability to manage data product life cycles will be critical to your success in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Apply Analytics Techniques: Utilize data analysis, statistics, visualization, and other BI solutions techniques to build actionable insights from data. Goal should be the make the solution enable with minimal team involvement after moving to production.
2. Solution Identification: Leverage your business domain expertise and strong communication skills to identify data-based solutions that meet customer needs effectively.
3. Product Development: Develop, create, and implement BI and analytics products and processes that add value for both internal and external customers.
4. Automated Decision Making: Create analytical processes for automated decision-making, particularly in cases where human decision-making is not scalable or feasible.
5. Communication: Present and explain technical findings to non-technical audiences to promote data-driven decision-making across the organization.
6. Insight Generation: Ability to delve into the solution and generate actionable insights, if needed, for the business.
7. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to wrangle the efforts of data engineers, data scientists, business analysts, executives, customers, product, and legal/compliance so that the product can come to life.
8. Prioritization: Ability to understand the need and priority of a functionality to stakeholders. Work with various stakeholders and teams to a create a unified priority list for the product team to focus on. This should be based on the delivering value, while managing the risk.
9. Testing and Validation: Work closely with developers, analysts, and testers to ensure quality across each level of the DIKW (Data-Information-Knowledge-Wisdom)Pyramid .
10. Measurement: Measuring the outcomes and articulating the value of the product to various levels of the organization.
11. Manage the Product Life Cycle: Delivers each product phase, by guiding the work of data engineers, analysts, and scientists.
12. Technical Expertise: An expert in BI space who can mentor the team and act as a resource to other members of the BI COE.
13. Ability to lead: Act as the leader of a group of analytics consultants and help them to achieve their full potential, while ensuring the projects are completed on time with quality an.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor Degree in Math, Actuarial Science, Business Statistics, Accounting or Finance OR 4 years experience.
* 4 years experience interfacing with external clients, large employers, brokers, or consultants.
* 4 years experience requiring data analysis and information reporting relating to healthcare data.
* 3 years leadership experience including 2 yrs in a management position.
* Experience of quantitative and qualitative standards and measures and statistical measures and concepts.
* Negotiation, decision-making, and analytical skills.
* Verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
* Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
* Experience with BI solutions like Tableau, Power BI etc
PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS:
* Strong SQL skills
* Experience of Healthcare industry.
